...Why Stetson starts? "Ultimately, we think Stetson gives us the best chance to win, right now."

...Daniels out of brace, has done a good job ... doesn't get as many "opportunities" as Bennett and Mathis because he often runs scout team.

...Jordan Davis, Quay Walker, and Lewis Cine, Smart is hopeful all three are back for Florida.

...On Davis: "We'll find more as the week goes on."

...Out is Rochester, and, obviously, LeCounte.

BIG news on injury front. Frustrating to hear about Stetson. Worst case scenario Mathis is prone to turnovers too but you would think have way more upside with the passing game, imo.

JT isn't worth mentioning. Something else is going on here.

I'd guess after Dom Blaylock re-tore his ACL after being cleared too early, they aren't taking any chances with JT.

I agree. As much as I have hated Kirby’s quarterback management, even I can’t imagine he would simply leave Bennett out there if JT was truly good to go.

I imagine they’re just saying he’s doing well to keep opposing coaching staffs guessing.

It’s his health, or some form of someone not wanting him to play because of his health. Kirbys stubborn, and too loyal to guys sometimes, but he’s not a potato.

If Bennet is all we have, and that's the way it is starting to seem, we gotta lean on the running game and diving at the tackles ankles ain't gonna get it done.

Daniels apparently isn't going to play. Mathis ain't playing. Beck ain't playing. I guess we are lucky to have Bennet LOL.

What if we did the Shockley/Greene strategy where we rotate between Mathis and Bennett?

If all we're going to do is run a Buck Belue-style handoff to the RBs offense, (as evidenced by Bennett), then why can't Beck do that? (Not that I want a true FR to start in WLOCP).

Some of you are like I saw this brilliant Football Movie, they took a chance on a little known and unheralded hydration engineer and he was great. Let's try that..

Stetson is our fricking qb until he isnt, dreaming up stupid scenarios is just stupid.

All he owes us is what his team produces , so far:

East/Sec Champ, Rose Bowl win, near NCG game win, East Champ Sugar Bowl, East Champ Sugar Bowl win.

He knows what he is doing.

If you're a gambler, it is a positive. Vegas has a whole list of prop bets on how he'll frick up during the game.

Half-assed quarterback X half-assed quarterback equals a quarter-assed quarterback, not a full quarterback.

Good point. Hell anyone who ever played the game at all ought to be able to do that. I don't know whether we are doing this because we have no choice or because it is what we do....if it is the former we have had no choice for several years because we have been diving at the centers ankles, with the occasional dive at the guards ankles, for several years now.....its gonna work someday and we are going to pick up 4 or 5 yards by god!

Seriously....when did we forget to run a toss sweep??? We have ran a toss sweep with every coach we ever had since Dooley and it has always been a thing of beauty even when it failed to gain many yards. Almost looked like a dance move...on the few occasions we have ran it this season it looked like something a 8 YO youth league team with a coaches son under center would run....just uncomfortable. Fromm could do it properly. It seems like a fairly easy move....but somehow Bennett looks like he is getting rid of the ball because his feet have gotten tangled and he is desperate to get rid of it. I understand that quick defenses are capable of stringing out runs to edge giving their team mates a chance to come up in support but don't you still need to run outside every once in a while to keep 'em honest??? Apparently not to win the SEC east 3 years running....but one has to wonder about the 4th year....
