Pickens deep, bowers middle, and McConkey in the slant and screen game.

It seems like Kirby is contentious with the media and fan base and his ego is driving that he prove a point by starting Stetson.

There's some truth to this. He has always been somewhat contentious with the media. He also has a huge ego. I think it comes from rising up from humble beginnings and being a mostly overlooked player. Has a chip on his shoulder.

Probably something he relates to with Bennett.

Didn’t JT leave USC after getting hurt and then felt like he lost his spot?

He did lose his spot after the ACL. Ironically, the guy who took his slot, Kedon Slovis, got hurt himself this season and passed up by a freshman superstar. Now Slovis has entered the transfer portal. He's got two years of eligibility remaining...

Who knows...take Slovis and let he and Daniels wage battle of the jilted Southern Cal QBs?

I think the gameplan against Michigan and Bama needs to have more plays going over the top to keep them from jumping routes.

To rephrase:

"I think the gameplan against Michigan and Bama needs to be to do exactly what JT excels at, going over the top to keep them from jumping routes"

Are you asking because you don’t know? If not, get to your point.

What do you base this on?

I think JT should be the starter but does JT also “excel at” our wide receivers getting separation against bama DB’s?

How many times does 31 plant him that game? We need to block him better. We was disrupting shite all game.

This is a fair point. The QB decision could be based solely on Kirby's lack of trust in our ability to pass protect, so he's starting the guy that won't get sacked 6 times a game.

JTD was sacked once called Clemson, and only after our RG got injured. He was able to throw for 400 yards against Cincy last year despite a ton of pressure.

Ton? Their "pressure" wasn't like Bama's pressure.

People are relying on:

-the fact JT would have started in 2020 if not for injury
-as soon as he did get healthy, he bumped bennett off the field and started the rest of the way and looked MUCH better

The games JT started in 2020 were the weakest teams we played that year. Had we had our missing players in the bowl game we would beaten Cincy with Bennett or JT.

Cincy was probably the best team outside of bama, and no way we beat them with Bennett at qb.

Offense only scored 3 points against Clemson. Would you give Bennett the same quarter?

Understandable when you account for all of that juicy context. Thankfully he didn’t throw a pick 6.

So, can you honestly say that if Bennett started that game and had the same offensive production that this board would have been totally cool with it?

If all of that juicy context were the same? I would understand and be the same with it.
