It's important that each of us shows tremendous passion, fire and energy this season. The opposite of fire, passion and energy is complacency, and we can't afford to become complacent as fans. Next time that any of us go out in the backyard and run 40 40 yard dashes, we need to have the same fire, passion and energy on the 40th one as we did on the first. I plan on getting started today, but not until later this afternoon when it's not quite as hot outside.

I will earn my Bourbon Everyday. I will hunt and chop wood.
I will only be comfortable while drinking my Bourbon after being driven to purchase and consume it.

Best I can do is stick to all my game day superstitious rituals and show up and be loud at any games I’m given free tickets for.

I assume this is a reference to Kirby calling out the fans last year. It will be interesting what Kirby and the fan's reaction if there is any slide or gashing loss this season. I'm not sure what % of the fans are "new fans"(I'll say fans that were not around before 2017). I do recall a conversation with a fellow Dawg fan last year in a bar and I mentioned what a great QB Aaron Murray was - he just kind of gave me this blank stare and said "who is Aaron Murray?" I mean no knock on this kid; he probably graduated in 2020 and was 8 years old when Murray was playing. Lot of fans I know with season tickets are really getting up in age like late 70's too. One friend of mine has 8 season tickets and he goes with his son who is genX like me.

My advice to any coach or player is just don't engage with fans.. For every bad one there is 100 good ones.
Let's see how this season goes, I worry about Oline but the number of top of the line OLine coaches in this world is narrow and I believe Pitman is done with coaching after this year period. He hit the cold beer jackpot and has his house on the River up there. He is good.

You just nailed it.
But whenever Kirby comes out with his new Kirby-isms, even though I know they're geared towards the players, I like to think that for me too!

They were playing crap as team and boring af to boot. Fans reacted accordingly. Turns ou, Carson‘s personality and our play seemed to match each other.

Funny, I think that people who weren't around pre-1980 are new fans.
