Doubt Kirby gets Coach of the Year, but the team going 13-0 at this point and winning the SEC Championship is a good case for him winning this award. Especially after losing everyone from last years NC team. Pretty darn impressive job of coaching. Guess it'll be the guy in Knoxville or Beamer winning it.

To be sure Stetson will be one of the four Heisman finalist. Guess it'll be Stoud, Caleb William, perhaps Hendon Hooker, and hopefully Stetson going to NYC, with Williams winning the award. I could be wrong but, I believe the last Dawg to attend the ceremony was Hearst. Hope Stetson makes it.

Giving the Heisman to a fellow that paints “frick ____” on his fingernails every game and can’t beat Utah in two tries is the perfect Heisman choice for 2022 clown world.

In saner times, Stetson would win this thing in a blowout just based on his story of perseverance. It’s one of the greatest stories in the history of this sport. And he may actually win two titles for God’s sake

This might sound, or come out wrong.. I don’t want Stetson to even get an invite to NY! I want that chip on his shoulder to be bigger than it is now. I bet if you asked him, and he were being honest he’d say he would take another national championship over an individual award! Stetson is the ultimate team guy!

I didn't realize Williams did that and I just heard about it on SEC this Morning. Yep, that alone should eliminate him from any Heisman talk.

And not one transfer taken via portal. Hell of a job.

Kirby should be in the running for national COY but Jim Mora Jr should be the unanimous winner. Getting UConn to a bowl game in his first season is one of the most incredible coaching feats I can ever remember.

At this point, Stetson deserves the Heisman just as much as anyone else. Honestly, I'd give it to Bryce Young again because Alabama would be 6-6 at best without him. I do think Stet earned himself a trip to NYC next week though.

Kirby should be SEC COY.

Putting your team in a position to win back-to-back CFP championships is harder than trolling the Transfer Portal for malcontents from other programs who are desperate for playing time.

For reference, UConn was 1-11 in 2021 and their only win was a 21-15 squeaker against Yale. They lost at home by double digits to Holy Cross and by two touchdowns at UMass. The average score of one of their games was 38-15. There were questions about whether they'd even keep football.

Yeah, the transfer portal makes it easier, but that's a pretty remarkable one season turnaround, and I say this as someone who can't stand Mora and remembers how much talent he squandered with the Falcons.
