Looking at it now, I'd guess Tennessee and Florida probably get the 2:30 CBS slot. As long as Tennessee doesn't blow it at Bristol.

I've been to Oxford, but never for a game and would hate to get cheated on the grove experience by an early kick-off. I mean, if we don't get 2:30 CBS, they're not going to kick this game off at 11:00am are they?

That would suck.

Here are other noteworthy SEC games that day with current rankings:

UF vs UT (17)
UGA (9) vs OM (19)
Arkansas vs aTm(20)
LSU(21) vs Auburn

Preseason you'd think UF/UT was a 3:30 CBS lock. OM still has a likely loss to bama the week prior so I'm not sure they'd give a 2 loss team that spotlight.

If forced to guess, I'd say UF/UT is still the 3:30 game. I can't remember who picks next...is it the 7:30 ESPN? LSU vs AU is another one that has big name potential but AU is trash and LSU has lost some luster. I don't see any way we drop to the noon slot though, it just doesn't seem right. I would GUESS that we'll be in some type of evening slot, either ESPN/ESPN2 or maybe one of those funky 5:30 type SECN deals. There are several other SEC mathcups that would probably get relegated to 12pmSECN before us.

in the unlikely event that Ole Miss beats Bama - our game is a lock for 2,30 I think

my guess is it will be a night game

Hopefully a night game. The night game at Mizzou the week before is brutal in terms of turnaround time.

Well said. If this game isn't the 330 CBS spot it'll almost certainly be the next most attractive TV option, meaning evening/night on an ESPN channel.

Those SEC Network noon kickoffs are also overwhelmingly games in the eastern time zone. It's not a hard and fast rule, but you can tell the network tries to avoid an 11AM local kickoff (for games in the central time zone)

Bama vs Ole Miss is the week before and you can probably guarantee that gets the 3:30 slot and CBS probably won't want to do Ole Miss 2 weeks in a row. I'd guess night game.

great point. I don't necessarily think CBS has an issue with doing 1 team back to back weeks, but 1 team back to back weeks at the same location is probably out the window and looking at that week's schedule Bama/OM is a mortal lock for 3:30.

We will be on ESPN or ESPN 2 at 7:00, 7:30 or 7:45 (Eastern time)

That game should be a night game as it's a pretty significant match up for both sides.

Last time we played in Oxford was an 11am kickoff.

Doesn't CBS have to decide before the Bama-OM game what time they want to show this one? They would kick theirselves if they beat Bama and this was a top 10 matchup whole they're in Knoxville

On a Georgia sports board, all game times are ET unless denoted by CT (commie time)

That would guarantee my death by The Grove. That's a hill I'm willing to die on though.

Yeah I'm making that game too. 9 would be dangerous. Noon would ruin the trip.

3:30 might be ideal...don't the bars there close at midnight or some bullshite?
