Well, I guess the upside is he could get a medical redshirt and still have full eligibility and use of his redshirt in a "normal" season, right?

People like Ringo aren't gonna be here 4-5 years.

In a normal world, you're right. He's still going to have to have good film for the draft position he wants, so that's at least two years, depending on how quickly he gets significant playing time.

Injury from what? They haven't even started Fall camp yet.

I'd be happy if he can get any games in this season. Next year is his year. He needs the work to be ready for 2021.

We lose stokes, Daniel, and possibly Campbell.
We also lose Webb at nickel.

This sucks, but we have a lot of depth in the secondary.

This is the luxury of death. I was assuming he would earn play time this year but that would also mean he could sideline a really good player just because he is better. Unless there are additional injuries (knock on wood) we should be fine in the secondary.

I just talk to my close buddy who is friends with his dad and uncle. He said it wasn't anything serious and he will be ok. Just some clean up work how he put it. TIFWIW

I read somewhere that it was a torn labrum. Which is a big deal as far as recovery time from surgery.

Cleanups from something prior are usually 4-8 weeks.

Labrum could push him out the regular season.

I hate to leverage your friendship. Do you know how long they expect to rehab?

I'll ask and let the board know whatever I find out.

Are normal NCAA redshirt rules applying? I’m assuming they are. So he can still play, in theory, in the last 4 games if he’s available... Tough for a freshman, especially DB, but if anyone can do it it’s Ringo.
