To play devil’s advocate, that’s exactly what was said about promoting James Coley.

Name some bands that are worse than nickleback.

I'm sure there are countless, literally untold numbers of bands that are worse that we don't even know of. They are so bad they weren't even able to build a small following, start getting paying gigs, walk into a record office, secure a deal on a major label, get music videos on mtv, get radio airplay, and be featured in movies, commercials, and uga football gamedays.
But of bands you actually may have heard of, here is a very quick and simple google search result: LINK
Now admittedly, I haven't heard Anal count's entire catalouge. But something tells me they are worse that nickelbakc. When it comes to listenablility, I prefer not to listen to nickelback. I do not like nickelback. If I was on a desert island though and only had the entire catalogue of songs of nickelback or a choice of shitty bands from the late 90s/early 2000s like O-Town, good charlotte, rebecca black, etc, I'd take nickelback. Rap could create it's own library of artists I'd rather not listen to. Souljaboy comes to mind instantly, as well as any of the mumblerappers that you can't understand a word they say as they half asleep laze their way through another shite song. Zero redeeming musical talent whatsoever. How bout yoko ono? Figured that should go without saying but apparently no, there are some out there that would PREFER to listen to her scream like a banshee or a dying animal instead of an actual rock band. Are you one of them?

You are breaking away from the metaphor. Nobody is saying Bobo is the worst OC ever. In fact, most people here like him, but we also know he'd be a downgrade from Monken.
We're not calling Bobo Nickelback.
You did that.
This is your strawman.
Secondly, regarding Nickelback, yes there are shittier bands, but none that came to the success that Nickelback did. Nickelback is universally known as the shittiest successful band. Tell me a worse rock band that went platinum than Nickelback.

The grief thrown at Bobo is as stupid as the grief thrown at Stetson and Murray.
It is fair to say that Bobo had not earned the promotion to OC at UGA. He didn't have the resume' to jump into a top 10 job in the country.
But it would also be fair to say that he learned and grew into the position and is a solid OC. We would be fine with him calling the offense at UGA.
My only complaint about Bobo was his dedication to balance (run:pass). When one side wasn't contributing, he stuck to 50:50 playcalling even to the detriment of first downs and continuing drives. If we had better offensive lines, I'm positive we would have had better success. The hope is that we can win in the trenches and a multiple playcaller like Bobo can find a lot of success matching up weapons to the defense.

Yeah I don't get the Nickelback hate.

Has a team ever had a HC OC and DC that we’re all former players before? All three were on the 1994 team together as well.
It’s well known these guys are good friends too. I think Kirby’s been thinking all along about getting the three of them back together to coach UGA.

One Hit Wonder, did they really go platinum with a single?

You have a point there, and in time they'll be known as the next Nickelback.

The FL GA line is a fitting comparison, actually. Nickelback is basically bro country but the guy has more of a "rock" voice so their shite gets Star 94 airplay instead of Kicks 101 airplay. But I can hear someone like Luke Bryan singing their shite songs.

So disappointed in my generation, if so.

They did the Harry Chapin cover, too.

Well we know muschamp is hell at the DC position. Bobo is no slouch but he also ain’t Monken. That trio could dominate CFB for years to come. Our offense was a lot of fun to watch with Bobo and Murray.

This is the correct answer. They’re the absolute worst.
