How many games did Shockley help us win in '02?

Would have lost the opener to Clemson without him. That would have been a humiliating upset.

Ship didn't answer the question (typical)
Do you wanna play sementics all day? (YOU probably do) If you don't realize that a pick 6 can be a 14 point swing I can't help you out.

It was the pivotal play and cost us the game and potentially a NC.All because we wanted to stick a Freshman in the game to give him PT.How many games did Shockley help us win in '02?

You failed to answer my original question, but then you have the audacity to call me out for not answering a question? Such a hypocrite.

There is no reason to think it was a 14 point swing. Our offense was crap in that game. One td scored.

Uga couldn’t have won a national title with a loss to Clemson in game 1. Thanks in large part to DJS we beat them. Of course you forgot that. Kirby probably never gives DJS that chance. Greene kept his job due in large part to DJS getting hurt in game 2.

Ya think? Shockley cost us an undefeated season in 2002 and potentially a NC but you'd sacrifice that so we could potentially be better in '03 and '04?

Shock didn't cost us any natty. I was at most of those games & that's just BS.

Either way, though, Justin Fields is head and shoulders . . . and elbows and waist and knees above Shock as a player. This isn't even a real comparison.

I always though Fields would end up the #1 pick and likely win a Heisman, but I also thought Fromm was good enough to make us not regret the choice Kirby made.

I'm still rooting hard for Fromm, but I can also see clearly I was wrong about the gap between the two.

Cost us an undefeated season and a potential NC.Sorry, the UF game is on him or either CMR for putting him in.

No competition, Fields is a generational QB, but keep selling yourself

I favored Fields over Fromm while he was here. That ship has sailed. Fromm has made some questionable decisions in some games. But now ain't the time to down play our QB. We have seen what Fromm can do that have NFL analysis having him high on the draft board. He needs to do it tomorrow.

Shockley was not anywhere near as good as Greene was at that point in time

hell, Greene was a better QB in 2003 as well

I remember watching the LSU game in 2003; when Greene wasin the game, the Tigers were on their heels and we were moving the ball. When Schock came in? They had him running for his life & we were inept offensively

I like DJ; but as an underclassman, he was not as good as Greene as an upperclassman

right now it does look like we made a mistake by letting Fields go; but it is hard for me to fault Kirby on this based on what we saw out of Fromm the previous 2 years

Most people forget Greene was playing very poorly to start out 2002, and that wasn’t gonna hold DJS off for long.

If DJS didn’t come off the bench and out perform Greene vs Clemson, we certainly lose, and that season probably becomes just another 8-4 type season.
