HT, your biggest problem is that you melted last year way too early and it kind of crushed your credibility with this board

Do you really put that much importance on this board? I haven't give one thought about what my credibility is here. That has no impact on my life. I'm not going to lose any sleep because someone on the internet doesn't like me or what I say. I don't know a single person here and haven't met anyone. I wish everyone the best, but other than that don't care if they find me credible.

I do find it a bit pathetic that people get upset over any form of criticism of this team or players on an internet message board. That's what fans do is vent. Surely nobody thinks this doesn't happen with every other fanbase. I want UGA to win. I want them to stop wetting the bed and wasting ridiculous levels of talent. I want them to be elite. I'm not going to sugar coat it when they aren't.

I wonder if they’ve pushed him on progressions so much that he’s too scattered. Last year he locks into Godwin and makes that pass.

Almost everyone on here thinks Fromm stunk the place up yesterday. It’s just we don’t agree that benching him is the answer or that Fields is the answer yet.

If I was CKS I put Fields and Holyfield in on the opening drive of the second half and run the hell out of everyone. Let Fields throw quick outs to the TE and RBs if needed and take a few shots downfield. I don’t think you mindfrick Fromm by Doug this either if the intent is to go run heavy to win the game. They were dropping their whole team back in coverage.

One thing we agree on is trotting him out there for one wildcat and then pulling him back is the dumbest play in football.

Thankfully, at last some agreement.

I'm usually on here win or lose after a game. When we win, there is usually less to bitch about, though not always. When we lose like we lost yesterday, there is a lot to be bitch about. I'm sorry for expecting more from this program. I'm sorry for not being happy about when lose in such a way. The bitching is nothing more than venting.

Dude, you are an amazing human being.
You have spotted everything wrong with the QB thta led the team to the National Championship. You have spotted everything wrong with the OC that was here when we went to the National Championship. You have spotted everything wrong with the Head Coach that took us to the National Championship.

Yet, you somehow have managed to deny yourself the millions of dollars that someone of your keen insight should be making.

Fire Kirby and hire HT, now!

You are obviously a better coach than Kirby, and have a better eye for talent...and obviously you want to be the coach, so...my question is why aren't you? You have proven you already think you could do better and know more than Kirby. Doesn't that 6 million dollars a year entice you at all?

Fromm is a joke. He is Greyson Lambert #2, nothing more.

Well, he did QB his team to the NC last season, so there’s that.

RA'd for sticky. Everyone is creating their own thread regarding their opinion on the QB situation. Considering we don't play for two weeks, this will be a major topic of discussion until UF.

I understand what you are saying but a deep dive into circumstances and stats reveal that Murray was a better QB as a freshman and a sophomore.

Murray literally was the main reason UGA was still in many games in the 4th quarter during his 2 first years. He was throwing on average 29 passes a game and he distributed across the entire field from skinny post to corner post to deep outs to TE drags to fades, etc.. He threw for 59 TDs his first 2 years and 22 INTs. Hindsight is 20/20 but Murray was the MVP his entire career. Without him we would have lost quite a few more games. I believe that. Our offense was put on his shoulders from his first start and as he went...the Dawgs went. We were fortunate to have him those 4 years.

Fromm is a good QB but will never be someone who has to carry a team for a season. He has significantly better support on defense and special teams. He has averaged 20 passes a game and has nowhere close to command of the entire field as Murray had. He relies on the deep sideline pass, the back shoulder, and a plethora of check downs. When we can maul a team running the ball, he looks all world. (Which is what was so frustrating about Saturday. He shouldn’t have been put in position to win a game with his passing when it wasn’t needed. JF should never have been exposed to that and I put it on the staff.) Jake is not a gunslinger who can make all the throws necessary to win in a shootout. He is an excellent game manager who should have been allowed to do what he does best...manage a damn game to victory.

Murray was a gunslinger, a baller, a gamer, a warrior who elevated his team to victory many times, even in his first 2 years. He was far more valuable to his teams than Fromm is to his.

The only logical reason I can think of to explain why Fields didnt play more today is because kirby wanted fromm to tie his own noose.

If kirby had taken fromm out at the half, fromm would be able to say he didnt get a chance to redeem himself.

Now it is done.

Do you think fields will start vs Florida?

I had not looked at it from this angle yet. I hope you sir are correct.

Yeah, that seems like a totally reasonable response.
