Jax really, really needs to do something about downtown though. It is absolutely terrible with nothing to do.

Riverside is just west of 95. Take Park St west of downtown and you'll run into a strip of bars.

Florida is like 3 different states, and all are weird as hell.

Jacksonville gets a bad rap as a city. Its actually pretty decent. I haven't to the cocktail party in years but I think it should stay in Jacksonville. Too many traditions fall aside for the sake of money, its nice for some to stick around even if it might cost a little....

I'm not seeing anything in the agreement with Jacksonville or CBS that kicks in additional TV revenue for the game and I've never heard of the SEC doing anything other than splitting TV revenues equally.

I know the game has a guaranteed slot per the CBS deal but nothing else.

Jacksonville sucks. The Gator Bowl sucks. Losing a great recruiting weekend sucks.

Move the game and before you know it other teams' fans will be deprived of their 1980 taunt.

We are the only ones who bitch about this. It is pathetic. Florida fans don't cry about it. Oklahoma fans don't cry about playing Texas in Dallas every year.

The WLOCP is the most unique atmosphere in college football by a mile. Anyone who advocates moving it doesn't realize how much luster it would lose if it became just another home and home.

It is certainly unique, but for the first few years each home game the fan base and atmosphere would be rabid lol

While I agree with you about keeping the game there,UF or OU fans shouldn't have a single reason for moving the game.

It's obviously a short drive for UF fans in state and OU has made its living recruiting Texas athletes and that game plays a big part in their recruiting success.

We recruit Florida heavily, too. Recruiting is a lousy excuse for wanting to move this game. Kirby only mentioned that a few years ago to put pressure on the city to cough up more money.

Would have to be closer to the border to make it a good analogy.

Why do you say that? I mean Athens to Jacksonville is 345 miles. From Gainesville, Florida to Jacksonville is 70 miles.

Gainesville, Florida to Atlanta is 331 miles and Athens to Atlanta is 73 Miles. Seems pretty even to me.

I mean, I don't care where they play the game as long as they play it.

Beats the constant Justin Fields threads. I would gladly have 10 of these to get rid of the Fields threads every week.

Sure but S Florida is the real prize and our presence in Jax every year isn't a big deal to em
especially when we cant have em for an OV there.

I wasn't making that point at all.Im saying it is a good excuse
for OU wanting to keep the game in Texas though.

BTW,I'm with you about keeping the game down there.
