A visit to Jacksonville to watch us play would be perfect for this guy...oh wait, our esteemed AD has agreed to not host recruits at nuetral sites.

Awesome! At least was have our integrity!

You think for 1 second Saban would agree to any type os BS agreement like this?

What's going to win a recruit?
Paying for their trip to Jacksonville where the coaches have no time for them?

Or paying for a trip to UGA where they can see everything (including the coaches).

If the kid wants to see Jacksonville, he'll find his way.

What's everyone's thoughts on Coach O?

He brings in good recruits. But he doesn't seem to have "it" attracting the top talents.

And ILB underwhelmed me last season.

So what's the point of having a recruit even come to a home game? Coaches wouldn't have time to see 'em then would they? (when I was being recruited I always arrived the morning of the game) Wouldn't it work the same way in Jax?

So why does Saban agree to play nuetral games in Texas and Atlanta? You don't think he host recruits?

This gentlemen's agreement that AD Pyle "negotiated" works out much far better for UFAG.

Opening games of the season are different. They get there a week early and recruit/practice.

It's different playing a neutral site mid-year.
I promise you.

And yes... a home visit has more staff and more things to entertain the recruits. Players get to host. That wouldn't happen in Jax.

You do KNOW that you are not allowed to talk to these recruits at nuetral site games...but you can invite them.
(Bama and AU invited many last year in Atlana and Dallas)

What would it hurt to invite these kids just to soak up the atmosphere? How would it be a distraction for the coaches if you can't talk to em?

Does it hurt? Probably not.

But if that's their official visit... does it help as much as getting them on campus where the coaches can actually try to close?

it's not about hurting. it's about helping.

So why dies Bama and AU do it? It helps and its the PRIMARY reason they play in those games. Once again, not gonna effect the coaches
or take away from their prep in Jax...it makes NO sense if your UGA...makes perfect sense for UFAG.

If its the ONLY shot at the kid, who cares about an official visit . The coaches wouldn't be stupid enough to burn their only shot at a kid if they couldn't talk to em

Bama does it in the season opener. it's great exposure in a key market. and they can recruit and coach the entire week onsite.

Ive already said that. whatever auburn is doing... it isnt working.

What are your thoughts on coach O?

Just used AU and Bama as examples because they're the only other SEC teams the played in nuetral site gaames last yr. Can't think any others that wouldn't do the samething given the chance. Whatever the disaster that was AU on the field didn't carry over to the recruiting trail...

Coach has the bloodlines no doubt and the NFL resume...thought the whole defensive staff was subpar last yr. Lets see what Coach O will do with some younger guys that might listen to em a little better.

Not sure of high many high profile guys that he"s landed on the recruiting trail...funny thing, overheard some parents of some campers talking about em up in Athens a couple of weeks ago...they seemed to be very
impressed with the guy.

Thanks.

Im curious about the guy. Coach O was the hero in 2011.
Im just worried that he's been a zero since then.

The nfl resume' also doesnt pass the sniff test. who coaches in the nfl for 10 years to go to a college desperate for success as an inside linebackers coach. absolutely not a step up. and i think that has resonated on the recruiting trail where almost all of our big misses are at ILB.

UGA should use the Aaron Hernandez debacle as a recruiting tool against Urban Cryer at OSU. CUM left an awful mess at UF where the players were out of control. He looks like he'll do the same thing in Columbus so we should scare Raekwon's momma with that.
