This was his big hire. This is his legacy on the line.

Probably not. It's just more of the same as many of our programs but Football and Baseball have been down.

I don't think so but it's looking to be a mediocre hire. Not a terrible hire and improvement over Crean, but Crean wasn't hard to improve on. I had heard a lot of the hire was based on a good relationship they had which is important. It just seems like UGA hoops is in a position where no marquee coach wants to come here.

Are you serious? It’s just basketball.

Meanwhile across the street, Wes Johnson is coming off hosting a Super Regional in year 1, women’s tennis just win the Indoor Natty yesterday, Track is finally in the middle of building a brand new facility to amplify that program, Soccer is now a consistent NCAA tourney team and recently won the SEC.

And basketball has a winning record in mid-February.

Get a grip, my man.

Fair points. I overrated and that's not like me.

Wes Johnson looks like a home run(pun intended) hire.

Anyone with half a brain knew what Mike White was he was a bridge hire to get the program back to respectable after we won 6 FREAKING games with Crean. He has done well with that so he’ll get 5 years total then we go swing for a big time guy if we aren’t any better than NIT.

Problem is we never advance past the bridge guy cause the post bridge guy hire fails. Fox was the last bridge guy...even though that's selling him short...he got program to a decently respectable level...then we ruin all momentum with the Crean hire.

White has improved the program, but we don't have time to wait...shite or get off the pot. Will wade should be out coach if we miss the tourney

"Strong arse offers" is the way of the day now. The FBI had too much time on their hands, zero reason for them to be involved and wire tapping. Amazed they didn't kick his door in, kill his dog, and shoot him....

If Fox and White were bridge hires, I don't see the point. If we are serious about basketball why not try to hire a marquee coach in the first place? It also seems to me White may have suffered from the emergence of the NIL/portal era. He hasn't been known as a great recruiter so he probably needs more 4 year type guys to establish a team. You have to rebuild and reload every year now.

He's been coasting on the two football titles. I doubt many people in the AA would miss him.

The women's tennis team just won another national championship.

The football program just won the SEC last season.

Have you been to the new softball complex? The upgrades to the Turner property are awesome.
The new track and field complex site development is moving along very well.

Kirby will now have full access to use all of the land along Lumpkin.

Brooks has been instrumental in all of the upgrades. He is not going anywhere.
