Fields is 13-1 as a starter. He is winning games. Trying to imply that Fromm is better just because his team won a single playoff game two seasons ago is idiotic. Is Fromm better than Kyler Murray too?

He will be a top 5 pick in next year's draft barring injury. He won and proved he was the better player by an unbelievable margin. Not a single coach in the country pro or college would choose Fromm over Fields today.
Does not compute. He wasn't the better QB in 2018 regardless of what he is today. And frankly it's like comparing apples to oranges given the different offenses they were in this season, so it's tough to say one way or another.

He's also more athletically gifted than Burrow (the guy that couldn't find the field in Columbus) but I wouldn't trade Burrow for a half dozen Fields.

bullshite. Any one with functional eyes and a brain knows that Fields is significantly better than Fromm.

And your point? Fields, Tua, Burrow and Lawrence are in class of QB that Fromm cannot dream of attaining. And Burrow is a damn good athlete. His ability to extend plays and pick up yards scrambling is a big part of why he is so good. All four of those QBs do that. It is almost a requirement now to be great. Herbert has some wheels too.

He's more athletic than Fromm and has a stronger arm. That doesn't mean he's the overall better QB. He had an overall better supporting cast than Fromm had this season, thus my comment about the situations being apples to oranges for comparison.

And every single one of those guys were complimented with exceptional skill players around them. Fromm didn't have that luxury.

Two 5 star WR, about 5 4 star wr, 2 5 star RBs and 2 4 star RBs

"Exceptional" is not dictated simply by their high school recruiting stars but also how they played on the field. There was a night and day difference between Ohio State's overall offense and UGA's, and it wasn't simply because of the QB.

When he had that his numbers were still just good and he still struggled part of his sophomore season.

Shows you how irrelevant recruiting rankings are. If you had to re-assign recruiting grades today how many of those would you say were elite? Two?

What will you post about next season now that you cannot makes excuses for Fromm?

I agree. But no need to shite on those players. They are the guys our coaches wanted, are our coaches bad at picking RBs and WRs or bad at developing them?

The first part, if you want to call it a struggle. After the LSU game, he lit up everyone, including Alabama.

Call me when football is won by a single player. Had JK Dobbins not dropped two potential TD passes, they would have won comfortably, but this is a simple regurgitation of the same arguments we've all made before and it really doesn't matter anymore. We're just going around in circles.

It's already been decided by their play on the field and where they will be drafted. If it comes to winning, Fields lost 1 less game than Fromm his first year as a starter and led his team to the playoffs.

The same thing I posted about this season: the truth.

A large part of it was, but having this argument with you is a complete waste of time, so I'll let it go.

You are confusing qb with team. Teams get credit for wins and losses. Qbs don’t play defense or kick balls, and some can’t run well.

I don't mean to rip on our players. We had a lot of youth and relative inexperience to deal with this season with most of our top targets leaving after last season.

It's more a commentary on how well they played this season compared to the receivers at Ohio State. Like I said, it's like an apples to oranges comparison because the situations were so different. If Fromm stayed, we likely would've seen a huge improvement next season with a year under the belts of our receivers.

And to answer your question, I believe they didn't develop very well during the season. Pickens came on strong at the end, but outside of the Baylor game, we experienced the same issues every week. It was hard to watch.

That's generous as hell. Fromm has rarely "lit" anyone up.
