Our running game work better with the throw to open the run philosophy. Their ability made them the running team we were.

I am sorry but the QB has to be under center and you need a fullback to play manball.

No line stands a chance with a running back taking the handoff flat footed. It's basically an eternal draw play offense.

I think Kirby was wrong to say we coached to our strengths, we did not.

Our lack of skill players on o did not allow us to make the defense defend the entire field .

We have multiple 5 stars at WR, this isn't true. I don't believe that manball will win National Championships in this era of CFB. But Kirby is stubborn so expect Coley to be OC and Fromm to be the starter no matter how baldy he plays in 2020.

Five stars who can't catch or get open, they are inexperienced but Fred Gibson and AJ both contributed more than this group.

It grows tiring to let one position group screw over the goals year In aND year out.

Pickens is an immature true freshman and Robertson hasnt been as explosive after his injury (he appears undersized for the sec, potentially). 4 star jackson couldn't get in a rhythm with his injuries.

That said, 3 star cager was a beast. High 4 star blaylock could do everything Pickens could do except the 50/50 jumpballs.

I am convinced that he is an outside speed receiver, not a slot guy. His strength is long speed, not short area burst or finding holes in zone defenses. Think DeSean Jackson, not Julian Edelman.

We don't need all of our outside guys to be 6'3"+, or at least we shouldn't.

Do you have evidence of Fromms success with shorter outside receivers?

Is there evidence that Robertson can get off a jam at the line of scrimmage?

That's a Fromm indictment if anything. Other teams don't seem to have issues. Maybe our passing game shouldn't be based around the back shoulder fade.

How many wide open receivers did Fromm miss in the game Saturday, including an impossibly wide open TD. He's missed countless open receivers all year with inaccurate throws, and he hasn't flat out seen other open receivers while trying to force the ball to his initial read. It's a fallacy that our receivers don't get open.

Fred Gibson and AJ had better QBs that could actually get them the ball consistently.

You mean other than the times he's done it this season. You guys seem to expect our receivers to wide open on every single play.

Teams we play seem to have wide open guys every play, LSU, OU, OSU seem to.

There is a difference in beating a zone and beating man coverage. Robertson has proven to struggle with the size and strength of sec corners. Are you not seeing the same thing?

I don't know that I've seen him matched up outside against many SEC corners, nor would I necessarily think size was the issue.

The best WR I saw this season at getting off the outside jam is Devonta Smith at Bama, and he's not a big dude. What he does have is excellent technique.

SEC corners can matchup outside and inside. Press man and off the ball. Both robertson and Blaylock have struggled at times with physicality.

It seems like people are avoiding the question as if it is some sort of enigma. Do our smaller receivers struggle with physicality in the conference?

Ours seem to. Ones at other schools don't.

Maybe we could help them schematically. Maybe we could coach them better technically. Maybe ours just aren't good, so we need to recruit better ones. Maybe all of the above.

In any case, it's a UGA problem and Kirby's job to fix it.

Our running game was a huge disappointment this year, even with some of Swift’s heroics.

How that Oline couldn’t create a dominant ground attack is beyond me.

Its simple...they stacked the box. As good as our oline is, no way we blocking 9 men.

That Fromm and the receiver's fault for not scaring them enough to unstack the box.

Our offense became 1 dimensional after South Carolina exposed us.

So to make sure I am understanding... the fair comparison is Robertson to Devonte Smith?

I agree. I was disagreeing that the fix is to put Robertson out on the outside as if our coaches are misusing him in his position.

I think similar physical tools are there. Obviously, Robertson has not produced at nearly that level. Smith is hardly the only example of smaller receivers succeeding on the outside.

I mean it’s at least worth a shot with how ineffective he’s been on the inside despite his physical tools and generally good ball skills. It’s not like Simmons or Landers are productive out there.

Steve Smith is always the first one to come to mind. He wasn't big but no one could jam him.
