He would have killed it in a Boise State type offense.

I'm thankful that he chose UGA (imagine that season without him?).

I caught his Friday high school rundown as well. It would be cool to see his career grow like DJ Shockleys (literally starting at the bottom like this and working his way to the SECN)

For what it is worth... hutson said we are the 11th slowest offense in the country.

That shortens the game and limits possessions.

For those complaining about Fromm's low TD production, do you not see what is going on? No one is running up the score unless turnovers are involved (including our offense)

Slow offense isn't a bad strategy, provided you can get ahead and stay ahead. If you fall behind, it's more problematic. The SC game showed - in Technicolor - the flaw in the system if things go wrong.

Didn't we run 90 plays against SC?

I don't think the example fits the complaint. We had three 2 minute drills. We have to stop killing ourselves with penalties and turnovers.

Penalties and turnovers would constitute things going wrong.

Three two minute drills are nice, I suppose, but it's kind of like a boxer who does nothing for most of a round trying to throw a quick flurry right before the bell to catch up on points.

The problem overall isn't slow or fast - it's ineffectiveness. Slow and ineffective is really just about the same as fast and ineffective, except the defense gets a bit more rest.

If the plan is to be a grind it out team, that's fine - it's boring, but it's fine. It does seem like something more is at play - like the team just isn't meshing or something.

Like I’ve been saying with the current game plan not many teams could beat us UNLESS we have turnovers. That puts us in a hole we aren’t built to dig ourselves out of.

The other bad thing about it is we aren’t going to be blowing very many decent teams out by holding onto the ball and grinding out the clock.

We can...that doesn't mean we will. Fromm runs a fast offense as well as anyone. Every time we've gone fast with Fromm there's been no problems moving the ball.

I agree.

And you win more games by outscoring the opponent

Murf Baldwin points out in his latest Top Billin video that UF defense has trouble with faster tempo play because of how Grantham waits to call the perfect play too long. Could be the Achilles heal.

Sharp analysis. Like Huston, I hope Kirby Smart has the insight to realize that he needs to turn loose the offense. Slow deliberate offense will not win this game.

Grantham respected Burrows and LSU's passing attack. But will Florida's defense against Georgia resemble what Mason just analyzed. Probably not. That safety who was laying back will be crashing whenver he can. Those linebackers will be in the box and frequently run/pass blitzing. So the question is, can our receivers or TEs beat the coverage before Fromm has to dump a screen or throw it away? If a receiver gets open on a slant, will Fromm throw it across the middle? Do we have a TE who can do what LSU's TE did? Will Coley even adjust, or just hammer Swift and Herrien into the teeth of the defense on first and second down?

I mean every game is won by outscoring your opponent. That's like, the whole point.
