Thoughts on how much play time back up QBs should have?
After the hit on Beck last year, I'm thinking it may not be bad idea to play Puglisi and co, especially against foes like Marshall, and not just in garbage time.

The problem is Gunner basically still is in backup QB mode. He only has 1.5 games under his belt. He needs those reps too.

True.
Will 2-3 quarters vs Marshall do it?

I’d rather have our new starter get as many reps as possible than the back up. But if the score gets out of control then play Pugs.

I hope if he plays they let him run the offense as opposed to non-stop hand-offs up the middle.

Practice reps with the 1s can do a lot and we don’t see that.

Puglisi got/gets a lot of good reps with the 1’s. There are reports that the coaching staff are very confident in him. I’d say we should see him tomorrow and next week at some point though.

Hope the o comes out and thumps and Stockton is on the bench by half.

If we are up by 30 at halftime then the backup will get 4th quarter reps.
