I think Tech wins 7-8 this year if they get decent QB play. Fishfry left a lot of diamonds in the rough for Geeoff.

Their division might be weak, but they are playing with half a deck. Anyone player there not recruited but Geoff is like a duck out of water in that offense. They had a roster full of QBs that can’t pass, blocking WRs, and an Offensive Line that has done nothing but cut block for over a decade and, even if they were technically sound, they’re too small to push anyone off the ball in a pro-style offense. The defensive situation isn’t AS bleak, but they still have a severe shortage of talent.
I think if they win 5 games then it will be a successful season for them. I think their total is closer to 3 wins. The Citadel is the only game I look at and say “yep, that’s a win.” Temple they probably win. Outside of that, I’m not sure they can score enough points to win any other game on the schedule. Hanging on to Paul Johnson for so long has wrecked the program for the next 3 years.

I know they ran into the Clemson buzzsaw tonight, but 7-8 wins is a big time stretch for Tech this year.
That defense was atrocious. They belong in mid-tier GHSA.

Give Tech credit though.....they made the heisman front-runner look mediocre at best. Lawrence has a horrible stat line
