I don't think I have ever seen a bowl team that was as poorly coached and poorly prepared as Florida was yesterday.

It’s bad. I think Napier is a solid program builder and would at least get the roster back to a competitive place in a year or two. I don’t think they’ll be patient enough for that, though.

inside the UGA football quadrant of reality right now, we keep being dealt aces left and right. It’s crazy

This here!! I know it’s a small micro portion of what’s going on, but those two plays in the SECCG are plays that used to happen to UGA. Blocked field goal ran back, and the pick off of the helmet. That used to happen to a CMR coached team often.

I wonder how many breathed a sigh of relief, when that ball went between the posts.

It's all they have at this point.

I believe McGarity did want Mullen. He knew him from both their days at Florida. Only McGarity would think Mullen would be an upgrade from Richt. Thank God he didn't get to call all the shots. Of course he doesn't shy away from taking credit for Smart's hire either. Glad he's gone back to Florida.

Without Spurrier as head coach, that program is basically equivalent to South Carolina.

If you go back to the early 70s and go forward Florida has had some very mediocre years. They caught a break with Spurrier and Urban, but both left the program.

The Florida fanbase is very spoiled so they run off coaches every few years. The program used to have the reputation of outside booster interference before it ever became an issue at Auburn. Spurrier was strong enough to keep the interference at bay.

I look for Sunbelt Billy to be around for about another two years before they run him off and start all over again for the umpteenth time.

With Fla St, Miami and UCF trying to get back into the world of big time football the road to success is not getting any easier.

Some of my Florida friends are absolutely sick and disgusted about what they are seeing.
