It'll be interesting to see how much of a dent that Hollomon's loss will put in our passing game. Might be a big deal, might be a blessing in disguise. Hollomon was a freak athlete. I saw him triple jump in high school and it was one of the damnedest things I've ever seen. From a size and athletic standpoint, he was the closest thing to AJ Green that we've had since AJ. Hollomon also made some plays for Georgia. Two TDs against Florida is nothing to dismiss.

However Hollomon had pretty shitty hands. Or at least he wasn't a natural hands catcher. His natural reaction was to try to catch everything with his body. Having a #1 receiver who's not a natural hands catcher is dicey. When it's 3rd and 6 and you really need a first down and Fromm throws a quick slant, you can't consistently count on a receiver like Hollomon, because too often he's gonna let the ball get into his body. The way Georgia runs its offense, you're always gonna have a bunch of 3rd and 4 and 3rd and 6. Who steps up?

That's where we'll really miss Riley Ridley and Terry Godwin, I believe. Neither one of them were burners, but they were natural receivers and clutch third down receivers.

Nice copy/paste job. Nice anecdotes. Nice highlight package. I still maintain that Hollomon isn't a natural receiver and was a body catcher.

WR is about chemistry with the QB, Fromm has all camp to sync up with whatever 5* takes hollomans place.

And any evidence you have of that would also be “anecdotal”

If you think Holloman is a bad receiver or has “shitty” hands, you’re either trying to convince yourself that losing him isn’t a bad thing or your just flat-out stupid. Or both.

You didn't watch a lot of Georgia football last year, did you?

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Cager is going to be a heavily favored target in the same way Wims was. He may not be the fastest or the quickest, but Cager has that big body, large catch radius, and the ability to "block out" DBs like a power forward going for a rebound just like Wims did.

Seriously....have any of you watched more than just his highlights? I hope he has a great year but I've watched Miami a lot the least few years. He's Reggie Davis but tall.

Maybe. Maybe not.

What can't be argued is that Coley knows him better than either of us, and he made it a point to bring the guy in. I choose to trust his opinion over SneakyWaff1es.
