After three weeks, my citation still isn't in the online payment system. Am I getting lucky or am I getting fricked?

77 in a 55 on 316. Aren't one or two of you Gwinnett County cops? What's the deal?

Remember that we basically live in a police-state and that your word doesn't mean shite against theirs..............

Then, mail the actual ticket in with a money order for the full amount before the date listed just to be safe.

Yup... If you frick up it's your fault. If they frick up it's your fault...

They'll find it later & put out a bench warrant. You'll think errythang is good & one day get stopped for a burnt out tag light & go to jail on the failure to appear warrant...

And its not going to show up in the online payment system, go to court house and pay it, or go to jail later on down the road

Fwiw you might want to call up an atty about getting that reduced... 22 over is a 3 pt offense, if you get it dropped to 14 over then it doesn't get reported to DRiver Services so no points on your license. Also, lawyer might be able to get fine reduced.

Why do I care about points on my license?

Because your insurance will go up like 30%. The way I understand it, it is like 10% per point. So if you pay 1000 a year, you will now pay 1300. For 3 years.

I'm in my 30's and married, have 5 accounts with my insurance provider which is also my bank, never had a claim in 17 years, get a dividend from them every year because they are non-profit. If they try to jack shite up on me, well, let's just say they won't raise jack shite on me.

Quit speeding on 316. This should end any legal problems in the future...

Thanks for your wisdom.

I've commuted to ATL from Athens 5 days a week for 7 years. I've never received a speeding ticket before.

But yeah, thanks for the wisdom.

Have you thought about publishing a book? Or at least writing one, and then getting it published? I know this little bit of wisdom you offered here is only a modicum of what you know. There are millions of people out there who need and would pay money for your wisdom. If a publisher can't see that, it's his loss. But that shouldn't stop you from writing it. You never know until you try.

Everyone knows 316 is a baited field. If you drive it 5 days a week, you should know this.

It's just business. I'm not going to put money on the fact they won't look the other way, but I highly doubt it. Feel free to take your chances though.
