Stet looked damned good today. JT looked like a guy who hadn’t taken a snap for a while. I said earlier in the week I thought JT should be given the chance to at least show what he can do. He got it and from what I saw Kirby and the coaches are earning their money by keeping Stet in there over JT. I was wrong about my opinions of stet’s abilities to presnap read and pick up blitzes he did both of those things well. Mizzou sold out to stop the run and to blitz Stet and he made them pay big.

JT played well considering all the time off. I think the OL will get lots of work next week on run blocking. My guess is Stet starts against UTk and JT comes in once we are up by 3 TDs.

It’s obvious that he gets the ball out quicker but he just looked rusty. He may have been trying to force things a little. He didn’t look bad, but Stet was throwing darts.

Everyone knows my position but I’ll admit Stet underthrew that long ball to Burton….he just made a helluva move in the ball.
The throw to Smith could’ve had a lower trajectory and got there quicker but he put it where it needed to be for the TD.
I don’t know if he missed anything else.
The biggest concern is not being able to open holes on the Mizzzou line but they had 7 in the box most of the game.

This is VERY similar to the Fromm-Fields situation. Fromm just kept getting it done vs overmatched opponents so it was hard to make the case for Fields as the higher ceiling qb.
But, HEY! I saw us win a natty with a 1/8 qb performance. So if the Gods say it’s Stet then I’m all in. I’m too old to gameplan this shite so I’m just gonna watch.
