Easily the best game he’s ever called. Now do it a second time and I’ll take back some of the terrible things I’ve said about him.

Watching games over the last few seasons, looks like there's an epidemic of bad tackling in cfb. Maybe because players and their representatives don't want the injury risk of physical practices. I think it's affecting high school fb too. Money is changing the sport in unexpected ways.

Amazing to look back and realize if OM gets just one more stop in that game we lose and when you look at some of the plays that were on a razors edge…unbelievable.
But that’s what this season has become. We may not win it all or even make it to the SECCG but damn there have been some fantastic games to watch thus far.

I agree. The hunger is missing and you don’t have younger kids having to fight for starting positions to the same degree. You can just transfer out if you’re not getting what you want and take a pile of money with you.

Bobo's offense (similar to Kirby's defense) requires the offensive personnel, especially the qb, to have a high level of understanding and execution. When he gets that, his play calling looks fine and almost always has. As a result, new QB's face a steep learning curve and the offense will often struggle until they get up to speed (Look at Aaron Murray's progression from start to finish). Some college schemes dumb things down to work with less experienced personnel, which creates a higher floor but a lower ceiling, IMO.

I mean, I’m a defense guy and maybe I’m spoiled. I’m definitely spoiled actually. But watching CJ Allen play football is maddening. I thought that guy was going to be on the mantle. I want to punch myself for using his name in the same sentence as Roquan. And I’m definitely a Bobo hater, but he called an amazing game yesterday and bailed us out. Thanks I guess.

For me the bad tackling though and up down in defensive intensity is something they need to fix.
The defense was saved by some long offensive drives. The Ole Miss defense was better last season.
Meanwhile, our tacklers need to anticipate more instead of running to a spot hoping for an arm tackle, especially on third down situations.

Less experienced...ok. We'll go with that.

Monken is considered the gold standard OC. Can anybody name any game in which he called that we scored on every possession?
I may be misremembering, but I think we scored every single time we got a possession. Somebody correct me.
As far as I remember, I do not remember us doing that against any P4/5 team or even G5 team ever.
I'm not saying Bobo is the greatest OC...just that yesterday was an extraordinarily well called game.

If my math is correct, we're averaging 34 ppg on offense and allowing 20 on defense. I know that Kirby knows that the gap between those numbers needs to widen to have any chance of going deep in the playoffs. Hats off this season to the job that Bobo has done with Gunner & Co. Still scratching my head over the lack of QB pressure that Schumann's D has been able to produce.

I don't understand your point. Some schemes are easier to learn and execute than others, therefore easier to install and run with less experienced personnel. Are you agreeing or disagreeing with that?
edit: On 2nd reading, I think I understand what you're getting at. No doubt that complex pro-style schemes do require a certain amount of aptitude for the position.

He should read Kyle Shanahan's playbook.

This was his finest game I’ve seen in a while I think the offense has finally gelled and shout out to the offensive line today.
The Oline has been very good all season long. A few freshman mistakes but 428 yards for total offense and 190 yards rushing offense is ok for me. Give Searels a shoutout for that.

Coached a team in the NC to victory 65-7. The biggest beat down in championship history… maybe any sport. That alone will make him the GOAT IMO and it will be tough to top that.
