I was literally scrolling back the pages to quote my 22-21 post when Azeez got the safety. Almost prophetic!

It wasn't pretty, and Cincinnati isn't a great team, but it was a tough, gritty, comeback win with a bomb of a FG from a freshman kicker.

Yeah, at the end of the day it was a top-10 bowl win with several good players opting out in a weird year.

I think you severely underestimate them. Their D is legit and designed to match well against spread offenses, so it seems understandable that it could be a bad matchup for our running game. And btw, we’re no Bama or Clemson. They are out of our league by quite a bit this year. But Dabo took a while to find success. We’ll get there, too.

Quitting

ETA: UC is good and Fickell is a good coach, but talent wise, this shouldn't have been a competitive game.

It's a win you can build on. Confidence for QB and kicker. Aggressive and effective pass rush. Big plays on both sides of the ball and ST from kids who will suit up next year.

It was good for the team.

Does UGA score a single point with Bennett at QB? I honestly think we get shut out and embarrassed. What a difference a QB makes and the feeling you get for 2021 when the other COULD HAVE happened.

I opted out. If it's good enough for our players, it's good enough for me.

We had 4 guys starting for the first time in their positions on the OL. Playing a defense of 4th and 5th year seniors in a 3-3-5 front (known for confusing experienced offensive lines).

That is on the coaches for bumping every one around. But in comment about "talent", we were not prepared on the OL for what we were about to face at all. And I'm not shocked when I heard the starting lineup.
