Why did we recruit Daniels if he isn’t even good enough to beat a 5’11 division 2 quarterback? That’s my question.

He’s coming off a serious knee injury. If healthy, he would be the starter IMO.

But we’re slowly working him back. Don’t want to risk the same thing that happened to Blaylock.

It's getting to the point where the other QBs in that QB room are not only losing respect for Kirby, but they're going to start taking it out on Stetson, too.

There was absolutely no justification for switching out Fromm for Fields that season.

That’s simply not true. You keep acting like the decision was made while Fromm was balling out when it was clearly made well before that. Kirby wasn’t going to pull Fromm no matter how poorly he played as evidenced by the LSU game.

You were spot on when you said Kirby doesn’t want a dynamic playmaker at quarterback. He want a Greg McElroy or John Parker Wilson to hand the ball off and complete 10 yard throws to tight ends.

The problem is that formula stopped winning national championships 10 years ago and literally every other big time head coach in college football has learned that but him. I think Kirby still thinks Fromm is the better quarterback because I think that’s how ignorant he is about what good quarterback play is.

No it wouldn't have been.
Yes, it would. There are a lot of players with great raw talent and "upside" that don't pan out.

CKS had a proven winner and QB in Fromm at the time. If Fields turned out to be a bust everyone would have questioned why CKS would have benched the guy that helped us to a natty appearance the season before. Again, there was no reason for Fromm to be benched that season outside of the LSU game, and then Fromm turned out his best performances after that game.

You're giving the high upside player reps to get adjusted to the speed of the game. This program would be in MUCH better shape had Kirby pulled the trigger.
Hindsight bias. Yes, we would be in great shape had Fields stayed at UGA, but we gave Fields lots of reps that season, even more than I thought we should have given that Fromm hadn't done anything to lose his job. Even so, the decision to leave the program was on Fields, not Fromm or CKS.

That was a bad spot and Cook should have gotten it a lot easier.

He will be better than Stetson is right now.

It takes time to adjust to the college game, especially coming off a bad season, and with Covid, it’s not like he got the same sort of reps he normally would have.

He wasn’t open. Stetson shouldn’t have thrown the ball. Or thrown it to the stands I guess is more accurate.
He wasn't wide open, no. It was a 50/50 ball which happens all the time. The question wasn't really the decision to throw it but the WR slowing down on his route.
