There was no reason to give Fields a "fair shot", with how you're defining it. Fields got plenty of reps in practice and more snaps during real game time moments than he should have.
My God, man.
One of these two statements is true:
1. Fields was better (or would have quickly become better) than Fromm last season.
or
2. Ohio State employs a Wizard casting magic spells on players to make them take enormous leaps in ability.

Fromm passing struggles with his obvious physical limitations were great reason to let Fields try to do better in a game.

You failed at being rational

Fields wasn't ready last season. Period.
Last season, we should have realized that Fromm can't carry this team to a national title and put Fields in.

What they would tell you is Fields didn't fit our offense, and that OSU's offense is night and day different, which is complete BS.

Our Defens has tackled like dog shite all day. Watching rushers run past the ball carrier again and again has me baffled.

Not without practice reps and game snaps. Ohio st have him what he needed. Kirby didn’t

quote:Watched every game like I always do. It was frustrating when Fromm was awful vs LSU and we brought in Fields and you could see the hesitation from the LBs opening up lanes for Holyfield. It added an element to our offense that was missing and that we needed. We had those same WRs, the same OC from the year before, and Fromm was still struggling. But yes, if someone disagrees with you/isn’t a blatant Fromm homer they just don’t watch the games. Hell, I like Fromm and he seems like a great kid but my allegiance is to UGA and he hasn’t been what we need.
You must have taken the season off last year.
Fields got tons of PT early in games and he got his "fair shot" in practice where CKS puts a premium. There was no reason for Fields to get an equal percentage of playing time with Fromm during games.

It doesn't matter at this point. Defense had more stops than our offense had scores.

Big picture takes give fields the ballot. You and Kirby took the myopic view.

You guys are incorrigible.
How about secret option 3: tOSU has a great group of receivers and a RB that allows them to take advantage of Fields' talents? They have a complete team and Fields was able to step in and be successful. You honestly think we have the same offense that would allow Fields to be as successful here?

They would look like crap if Fromm was there qb

Fromm passing struggles with his obvious physical limitations were great reason to let Fields try to do better in a game.
I'm sorry you can't understand context and judge the past based on the present.

Evidently Fromm wasn’t a fit for our offense either. We needed someone who could hit open receivers and avoid a sack due to our overrated line.
