This should be Stet’s last game as a starter. I know the D looked bad at the start but come on.

If Stetson comes back and starts next year count me out.

Stetson and Fromm are a hard workers but they will not win you the big games. I have no idea how Kirby makes the decisions he makes.

I think Stetson played fine. The pick 6 was bad obviously. The other one not as bad, bit obviously still hurt.

Stet isn't gonna win a championship by himself, but let's not kid ourselves, neither is JT. We don't have a guy like Young. Have to have our defense show up better than they did in the first half.

I think we get in and I think we play Bama again. Who knows what will happen

Our secondary was absolutely exposed tonight. We haven't seen an elite QB combined with elite WRs until tonight.

Played fine? You can’t trade pass interferences for Td’s. Forget the interceptions which were bad. When you’re just heaving it down the field hoping to get 15 yard penalties here and there on under thrown back shoulder throws (if you even want to call them that), that’s not going to cut it. This isn’t the NFL where they are spot fouls. The fact that JT didn’t even put a helmet on and according to his QB coach he’s fine is concerning. I get riding the hot hand. But it’s not hot anymore.

I agree that this is more on our D. Nobody expected Bennett to torch Alabama. But nobody expected our D to get humiliated in that fashion either. As Lou Brown said it’s a big ol shite sandwich and we’re all gonna have to take a bite.

But people need to realize that this team still has at least even odds to win a natty. I’m gonna wait until all the games are played before I start trashing folks or decide to eat a gun.

What was JTs line against Clemson?

Don't understand the narrative that JT is fricking Tebow or something.

That isn’t the narrative. The narrative is that Bennett throws a bazillion picks in every game we play vs. talented teams, which is true.

Yea playing with a pulled oblique in the first game of the season is definitely a fair comparison. I’m just saying give the damn guy a shot. Saban pulled his starting QB in championship games twice.

I’ve been telling people all year Ga couldn’t stop the pass, and Aladamnbama just proved it. But with that said, Ga will get another shot

And Jt does the same thing. At least Stetson can scramble.

Brother I’m all for supporting our starting QB here, but now you’re just reaching. Outside from the 1 int he had against Clemson (again with a pulled oblique) tell me what talented team has intercepted him? And don’t even think to bring the Cincy game into this discussion cuz it hit his WR in the numbers and bounced back to the defender (hardly on the QB).

JT is obviously a better passer than Bennett. I don't get this strange narrative that they are even close in that department. Bennett has made some good throws but buy and large he is not accurate especially on longer throws.

Well that's the point. He hasn't faced a good defensive team besides Clemson and he looked like shite. He's soft, and he is a statue back there. If he has a better arm it isn't a big enough difference to trump the mobility factor

He can lack mobility if he gets the ball out of his hands and not hold onto it slowly going through his reads.

One could also argue that mobility actually cost Stet today bc he tries to do too much with his legs and when he does escape tries to force things as opposed to just taking the sack or throwing it away.

I think the fact that he was never even holding a helmet indicates that he's not fine. He went in against Tech and handed off three times...that was it.

But even if he were fine now, it's been so long since he's been repping with 1's and playing significant minutes in games...

I feel that this whole JT isn't actually healthy thing is just people trying to rationalize why he is not playing because the alternative that Kirby thinks Stet is just better is hard for anyone to wrap their head around.
