Kickers are shady.

14 total passing yards in Florida's Spring Game
And only 17 points scored. Then they went on social media and said it’s bc they have such a great defense lol .

I didn't see Andrew Paul. Did he play or is he still injured?

Mews had a couple of big plays but I think Cash Jones looked better overall. I know that one is a WR and the other a RB but still.

Rewatch notes-
The kick return by Mews for TD that was called back by Kirby was correct. He was tagged out by #6 at the 24 yard line. Kirby was generous to let them start on the 30.

Rewatch notes-
The red team defense is hell. Every receiver had a defender stapled to him and every run is swallowed up. Feel bad for BVG and Gunner. Black team defense was not nearly as good, leaving rec's open for Beck to locate.

Rewatch notes-
BVG's TD drive in the 2nd quarter was great, big passes on the money when they could finally scheme some guys open for him.

Rewatch notes-
End the first half, Stockton gets a big pass to Mews who gets down to the 3 with lots of YAC, but that pass could have easily been picked off in a real game, was a bad pass that he got away with. Next play, Stockton gets a delay of game backing them up. Next play, Stockton gets sacked, backing them up even further. Then an overthrow. Then a batted pass. Then settle for a FG. Not good Gunner.

Rewatch notes-
First drive of second half- Gunner looks pretty good then takes a horrible sack, that in a real game might have even been a turnover. Didn't even see it coming. Had zero awareness of the pressure coming from his blind side. Punt.

Sure they put BVG on red team, but they aren't letting him throw to Bowers, McConkey, etc. It's guys I have never heard of.
I'm not going to shite on BVG for this particular performance.

I hate the way BV tries to pass. He is never cocked and loaded as he surveys the field. After he decides where to go with the ball he turns his right shoulder back to where it should have already been. The ball should be on it's way much sooner. BV telegraphs where he's going with the ball on every swing pass.
I am not really impressed with Stockton either. If Raiola watched he didn't see any reason not to go ahead and commit to being a champion.

It is kind of funny... the dynamics of the spring game.
So often, the backup QB becomes the fan favorite because he is throwing to our best freshman receivers against 5'7" white corner backs from Milton High School.
This year with all of the drops, he is getting dumped on in many ways because of the stats.
(I don't disagree with comments about Vandagrif's slow delivery on Saturday, but he honestly hit a bunch of guys in the hands and numbers and they dropped it like it was hot).

When Dooley retired as AD, his next job was setting up KSU's athletic department to add a football team. He was doing it with the future in mind, knowing damn well it would someday be UGA's farm team.

Anybody see the interview with BV after the game? When asked if he would be around for preseason his first answer was “I’m not sure “
Posted on 4/16/23 at 5:46 pm to Griffindawg
I watched the full interview, the question was much more loaded than that. It wasn't a point blank question "ARe you going to be here this preseason?"
It's hard to hear the reporter's question but it's along the lines of "what are you looking for coaches to say, or something to happen for you, to decide you'll still be around this season" and he says "I'm not sure, one day at a time, needs prayin' on".
