More athletic than big Ben and has a somewhat similar release. Not at all who I think of when I watch Fields.

but has a long, long way to go.

What? He's not far behind Fromm or Tua and would press for playing time at almost any other SEC school. He would start next fall at LSU,Vandy,UT and UF.

Freshman QB's are more advanced than ever because of how advanced HS offenses are along with 7 on 7 and summer camps.

Monty Rice has been barking at dudes all day. Glad to see he's taking to the leadership role.

Was this before or after he got his head taken off by the TE. That hit had me saying, Dam, you got knocked the frick out.

Well yeah he's faster than Roethlisberger but I meant it more saying he has a really good ability to escape the pocket, keep his eyes downfield, and throw on the run. Young Roethlisberger was the best I have ever seen at that and he was also a much better athlete than he gets credit for

Very good at avoiding pressure in tight spaces.

And on a side note, LOL Tennessee Spring game. Team is awful and their players look like a Jr High team.

Tennessee is in serious trouble this year - they may very well lose all their SEC games again. It will be interesting to see how Pruitt takes coaching such a bad team - I'm actually starting to think he may end up getting fired (either this year or next year) for comments he makes in post-game pressers.

He reminds me more of DeShaun Watson but in a bigger body and a better runner.

prediction:

Fromm will be pulled at the half vs USC if he plays like he did for G-Day. Fields looked as advertised.

Fromm is not getting benched in game 2 unless he's injured.

Fromm played against the 1's.
Fields played against the 2's.
I'd be worried if he hadn't had shown out.

no disagreement on any of this, except i felt Fromm looked particularly bad, not sure how he showed out.

IF we believe Smarts process is truly about who gives the team the best chance to win and QB is the same as DB then yea, i stand by my statement, Fromm will get benched early if he struggles.

maybe something we can agree on.

Staley still has bricks for hands and really shouldn't be anything more than a special teams guy.

Was talking about Fields showing out. Fromm came in last year and handled his business as a true freshman. He'll do the same this year. Fields may see the field this year but he may not. Jake knows its his to loose and I just don't see that happening. Lets just agree that we're in a position that we're not used to being in, two stellar Q.B's that have the possibility do great things for the program.
