The video was but a small sample but even without being pressured Eason's accuracy is terrible. I'm really glad that Brice Ramsey is returning.
We definitely have room for another top QB. Based on that clip, few will be afraid of the competition.

If Eason was a country boy from Warner Robins, UGA fans would be way more supportive of him. Instead, he's a long-haired dude from the west coast who people want to bench for the local guy.
Nothing about his true freshman season was negative enough to warrant the general opinion of him on UGA message boards.

Personally I don't give a shite if he's from Iraq and wants to kill infidels...as long as he can make his check downs and hit the open receiver.....accurately.
Which remains to be see btw.

Obviously it remains to be seen. My only point was that nothing about his freshman season was bad enough to warrant "he sucks."
He could bust. He could also be the #1 pick in two years.

I hope so....because then we'll get a real QB and have a chance to win something.

If the OL sucks as bad as it has the past few years it wont make much difference

I don't get the hate for Eason. The guy did fine, he had one maybe two bad passes but so did Fromm. We can't judge his progression until the season is under way so y'all need to calm your tits.

Let's break it down.
1. Eason feels pressure in the pocket and particularly when operating under center (he was a shotgun QB in High School, his eyes were down field immediately);
2. Eason is better on the roll out because his brain is in action and not worried about being blind sided. Also roll outs give him better vision;
3. His accuracy beyond 20 yards has been good on the roll out but sucks in the pocket.
Conclusion. He has not been able to wall out the rush in his brain while in the pocket. This impacts his foot work and timing. Will he be able to make that adjustment to the pocket this year? If not, the OC needs to have a roll out packages ready, and needs to give him quick safety valve passes. Until Eason can hit the deep ball DCs are going to sit on the short routes and load the box.
Fromm. Very comfortable in the pocket, but slightly weaker arm. Would he be able to maintain comfort and footwork after being clocked a few times?
Conclusion: The Spring game was interesting but was apples to oranges. Fromm is the back-up unless Eason implodes.
Country boy has nothing to do with it.

Bingo! He's played on true freshman season and morons are ready to throw him under the bus.

His accuracy looked no worse in that video than Fromm's. They both missed the board on one throw.

How do we know this?

He watched a practice game where Fromm was against backups and walkons. He's probably a professional scout as well
