Dude...they whipped us. His comments were juvenile compared to what he could have said. We may see them again and will have our shot. Relax.

P.S. The space bar is your friend.

He turned away from the cameras/microphones and said it to somebody else. It really isn't a big deal...and they did whip the dog crap out of us.

That said, I can guarantee that if we play them in the SECCG, that comment will be talked about in the locker room. Kirby probably won't bring it up, but an assistant coach will....probably at Kirby's direction.

I used to feel sorry for him getting treated like crap by Barners, but now I just want him to lose and get the wrath of that rabid bunch of cow humping blow hards that he is trying to impress with his tasteless comments. They will never accept him or his man boobs and we all know their inbred nature of hiring head coaches. It's all down hill for Gus and the Barners from this point forward.

The simple fact that a Barn loss Saturday was said to have been he beginning of the end for Gus, but now he's the anointed one in light of a convincing win shows you just how petty that fan base truly is.

Understand what you are saying, Vox, but our fans were calling for Chaney to be fired last season, then when we started averaging 40 points a game we were praising him, then after one loss we have threads calling for him to be fired again....what does that say about our fan base?

I know I will get a ton of downvotes....like that matters....but lets be real for a bit. Are we any better?

There's no two ways about it, a solid portion of each school's fan base is batshit crazy and legit borderline personality disorder. The "Fire Errbody!" folks are ridiculous in 90% of the cases.

I don't like Chaney, as a rule. I'd love to have someone else that's more dynamic at OC, but Chaney's story is a tale of two coaches, comparing 2017 to last year. Barn folks want Gus fired after every loss.

I think Gus is a worse coach than he is a good one. That said, whatever limits Auburn, I'm all for.

He's not my favorite, but I also don't think he is as bad as some (Not talking about you) on here think he is. I simply have not seen what the Arkansas and Tennessee fans kept telling us. Just to refresh, they said he would ignore the run and throw pass after pass if we fell behind.
Honestly, I think he tailors his game plans around the strengths of the offense combined with the deficiencies of the defense he is facing. I can see and understand the complaints that say he does not adjust in the games, but adjustments are not as easy as they seem. You have worked on a particular game plan all week long. To adjust would be to play into the strength of your opponent, and send the message to the team that you don't have confidence in the plan. (Sometimes, though, it is better to exactly that....ditch it and try something....so I understand the frustration)

Hey....sometimes you just have a bad day. I mean seriously....who would have thought Ole Miss would beat Alabama two years in a row, or Arkansas would hold Alabama to 14 points in 2014?

You're gonna win games, you're gonna lose games. I haven't heard much boasting out of Kirby thus far - really happy to have a coach that doesn't get into that shite. I wouldn't want a coach that beat UF like that and turned around and said "lol we whipped the shite out of them." Leave your talk on the field.

Well, its no wonder our fanbase is the laughing stock of the country, much less the SEC.

I agree. It was definitely ill timed. But, I would be willing to bet in private conversations, Kirby said a few things. The rush of a big win, etc. I chalk it up to Gus just being relieved the game went the way it did.
Malzahn didn't (I am guessing) mean for anybody to overhear the comment.

I wouldn't say we are the laughing stock of the SEC OR the country. I would just say we are more along the lines of average. Check out LSU, Auburn, Florida boards after a loss. Just about every fan base is this way or they wouldn't have a Monday morning melt article on the internet.

Don't pay attention to the jerks on the Rant. They are every bit as bad if not worse. Of all afn bases...LSU was one of the worst to jump on us this past Monday!

They are one of the worst about over reacting. Before the season and after any early season win they have the best coaches, players, facilities etc. After a loss they want to clean out the whole program.

Shoot, Orgeron has to feel like a yo-yo. He has been the best coach in the country and the worst all in one season.

I agree with this to a point... in cases where teams "sell out" to stop the strong point of your offense, you have to take what they're giving you. From the looks of our Offensive Line's pass blocking efforts, a definite need is there to develop these kids. They missed assignment after assignment. It wasn't that they were getting overpowered, it was they were left standing there with their thumbs up their butts while the Peacocks successfully stunted the hell out of them. We had 6 guys blocking two DL and two were left to run free. That is solely on Chaney/Pittman. It is a lazy and arrogant thing to not prepare kids to pass block just because you "have the best rushing attack in the country"...
