...just 5 years after MIL went through a year long tailspin with dementia. Mrs Squatch has been through the ringer. This shite is sucking the joy out of her life.

And her dad is a difficult guy. He has a way of sucking all the life out of his daughters. I know that’s a selfish thought...which is why I only share it here.

These are the times that try men’s souls. I need some guidance from strangers. Liquor ain’t helping.

Let her spend every minute she can with him. In time, you both will only remember the great things about him. Let this teach you something on how to be an even better person moving forward. God has an interesting way of teaching, you just got to be willing to learn.

Just remember why you married her, because this is when she needs you most. Remind her every day that you love her and will always be there for her.

God Bless you and the wife and her family. Prayers coming your way.

Just be her rock squatch. The rest will fall into place how it's intended to.

Hard to do but tell them to have emotional buckets that they place there thoughts into when they are with him and push aside when they are not. It's tough but will keep everyone from going crazy.

Thoughts are with you and your family.

Prayers for you, man. We just had a close friend diagnosed with mesothelioma. Flying to MD Anderson next Sunday and possibly Boston afterward, depending on findings. If surgery is an option, she’ll lose her left lung....and this stuff comes back. Prognosis isn’t good.

She’s only 39.

Prayers sent from Bama fan in Northwest Atlanta. During these difficult times as you support your wife, don’t try to go at it alone. Rely on good friends and family.

Take it one day at a a time.
Live. Laugh. Love.

Just be as supportive of your wife as you can. Buy her flowers as a surprise, and just hold her quietly when she needs comfort.

Tough news. My only advice would be to just listen to her. Don't try to solve anything, don't try to make her feel better. Just let her handle it her way and listen and support. And please do not tell her you know how she feels. A girls Dad is always a complex relationship.

Best wishes
