Interesting timing, pretty silly moving considering there's no way in hell Kirby's letting him transfer to any rival school for next year. My guess is he goes JUCO?

Dan Wolken, as previously stated, is a rabid UGA hater. The guys on the Waiting Since Last Saturday podcast have mentioned this several times. At least one of them is a fellow journalist who is very familiar with Wolken.
I don’t doubt that Wolken would take a scrap of a “maybe” story and run with it if he thought it would hurt UGA.

I thought the NCAA killed that rule and that coaches can no longer block a transfer.

That’s a very talented kid that’s walking away from a great situation for playing time. I hate it because I just know Justin will win a title somewhere and knowing Georgia - it will be against us. This sucks

Wolken legitimately does. If you listen to Will Leitch’s podcast (Deadspin founder) he’s really straightforward about the fact that Wolken has an open disdain for UGA

Because Will, Tony and Scott on the podcast have talked about it specifically more than once. Wolken is obnoxious in his hate for UGA because he is a Vandy fan and apparently chose UGA as the “rival” he hates the most.

Wolken isn’t going to publish something unsubstantiated but he’s also not going to feel bad about screwing UGA or throwing off Fields timing by releasing this earlier than desired
