Tomrrow is going to be complete Hell. TWC is predicting this to be all day event with tornados and some strong tornados popping up. Tornados scare the shite out of me and I've been lucky enough to avoid one so far, hopefully I never have to go through that.

Stay safe tomorrow yall

Gainesville GA got hit by one of the worst tornadoes in our country's history many many years ago. In the 40's there was an EF4 that decimated a small town called Abbeville. I guess my point is, I wouldn't rule any possibilities. It's unlikely but shite, anything can happen.

I had two family members die in that tornado. One was a baby. My grandmother lived through it. Her and my great-grandmother's house was completely destroyed they found both of them under debris. My great uncle was found up in a tree.

Thats was quite common back in the 40s. Especially in the neighboring County of Forsyth.

Woke up to heavy rain and my power going in and out. Thanks for not cancelling class UGA

Don't worry though they suspended campus transit for the day so the buses will be safe while we're hiking to class.

Question about safest places to take cover. If you don't have a basement, but do have a second floor and a room/closet underneath the stairwell, is that room the safest place to go? It's what I've heard, but was just curious since it does make sense.

I've always heard that if you go outside and wave your arms and make a lot of noise the tornado will get confused and think you are a predator and may leave the area on its own.
