If holding is legal the rest of the playoffs like week 1, it’s not optimal for us.

I am just evil'ly hoping the National Media and some of the dipshits in UGA media pick Notre Dame and Ohio State in this thing and keep telling everyone Gunner isn't the guy and the team isn't man enough.

I want them seeing red out there and looking to hunt.

That said, I expect Notre Dame to be a war, it always is. Dogs win 30- 14.

They’ve already started picking ND. There’s a clip going around from a CBS CFP show where one of the talking heads says something to the effect of.. “ND is winning this game, I don’t care if Carson Beck was playing, ND is gonna win!”

I love that!

Notre Dame looked good against Indiana but just so hard to gauge since Indiana seems like such a soft team. Their run game and running back are good but schematically I don't see them doing stuff like Tech or Ole Miss did to us. Our D has to play well of course. It could be a breakout game for Gunner or then again he could really struggle.

Being reported their best D lineman is out. Not mad.

Number of guys are banged up for them. Pyrrhic victory over Indiana.

Indiana was a patchwork team of transfers, mostly from G5 schools. At mid-season about 2/3 of their starts had come from 1st year transfers. It's not a ringing endorsement for the Big 10 that a brand new coaching staff and a bunch of G5 transfers went 8-1 against the conference.

I get the feeling the team will rally around Gunner and show up for the game.

I think this game ends up more like the Clemson game

I have a bad feeling about it. I have also watched Brooks breakdown of the ND film prior to the indiana game. And the last two videos. Basically about 3 hours of "film study".

Everything we *hope* Gunner can be, Riley already is. The #1 thing that gives our defense fits is a QB who can run, and does run.

And ND's defense is really really good. Not just in the stat department (they haven't played a great schedule which can skew stats) but just watching them smother people, stacking the box for run protection or blizting because they trust their DB's in man coverage. Wit blue chippers all over the field. It's going to be tough sledding breaking in a new QB against a defense like that.

ND's offense is pretty good but isn't what scares me. It's their defense.

I dig your reverse voodoo , but in my mind this is moot. Two different dudes in two different systems. Seems like a test of Stockton’s preparedness and Bobo’s scheme.

I think the systems are more alike than they are different. In what way do you think they are different? The systems, I mean.

I know shite about x’s & o’s. But, they are in different systems because they’re on different teams with different cultures, etc. Gunner’s a relative unknown, but he’s part of a larger legacy of Georgia QB’s, for which Beck may have been the torch holder. This is 2024 and Gunner Stockton is our quarterback. Revel in this fact with me.

I don’t think Riley Leonard can beat us with his arm. Shut down the run and make him throw. That’s classic CKS.

He's actually pretty damn good and their receivers are definitely better than ours.

He hasn’t been forced to throw that many times. I believe Kirby and Schuman will cook up some unique opportunities for applying pressure.
