Crazy how many of those, both that went for and against us, were in Jordan-Hare

It’s like it was built on an Indian burial ground. Place is just a magnet for insanity.

"Best Tie Ever" is one of the best names for a game ever.

The fact that Ron Franklin was calling the game and it was during the old school ESPN SEC Saturday night game of the week is part of what makes it so epic.

1997 was one of the first games that I can really, vividly remember just being completely bummed/upset/disappointed in a loss. There were plenty of beatings, mostly to UF/UT, before then so it's not like losing was some new experience. But '97 was the first year in my life that we were pretty good that I was able to REALLY grasp and understand. After jax it felt like an AU win was a foregone conclusion so yeah, that one relaly sucked.

It was also the last UGA/AU game in Athens I havne't attended. I had to be in a cousin's wedding and was too young at the time to refuse to go. Still kinda salty about it.

2005 was the worst for me. The fourth down play came right towards me in the stadium and I watched in horror as the whole thing unfolded. Then the receiver was tackled right in front of me - it would have actually been better if he had scored.

2002 also for me. In retrospect that team seems like a juggernaut that was inevitable to break the drought but it actually took a miracle-ish play to get them there. Not a miracle on the order of 'Run Lindsay!’ but a miracle nonetheless.

I was traveling for work a few years ago eating dinner at some bar and the TV was playing SEC classics and this game was on. I didn’t realize what I was watching until the end.

It still made me irrationally angry.

I still think we win it all in 02 if given the chance. OSU was a frickin sham, we would've stomped them out. Miami, at full strength, may have gotten us but I believe they are the only team in america in December/January that was capable of beating us. USC/Iowa/OSU are all laughable.
