The flaw with Dr Pepper is they had a predetermined tie-breaker

There's no doubt in my mind.
I was at the game and wasn't a raging SJW crowd and they woulda booed the decision regardless of race.
It was a PR disaster for Dr Pepper either way.Now,if it was a white male who got hosed,who knows?

Sounds like drunks being drunks. DP chose their audience. You’d expect they would consider how that audience would react to various outcomes. Flavored fizzy water purveyors aren’t what they used to be. Incompetence reigns.

Nobody in the stands or watching knew the rules and Dr Pepper would've avoided a PR disaster had they announced
them when the contest went to the 2nd round. Easy enough
