Carrolton for starters.

Honestly wherever he wants, obviously he would have had a stronger presence for one more then the other. However, we would have moved out of state by then, so a mute point

Dallas, on those numbers, what are the base sets cut off? Four star players?

Top 15 guys based on the 247 composite. 247 composite because it incorporates every recruiting service. Top 15 because I was too lazy to go any further, but I still thought it was enough to illustrate my point.

That is interesting, most make perfect sense.
A&M makes perfect sense, a lot of players in Texas.
Bama, Barn, Arky, Kentuck, TN, Missouri do too, have to go outside to fill the coffers.
I thought that FLA, UGA and LSU would be higher in state.
It would be real interesting to see how many players from GA got D1 scholarships and compare that to our take.

Georgia, Florida, Texas combine for 49.8% of all SEC recruits from SEC states to SEC schools.
ETA:
Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana combine for 32% of all SEC recruits from SEC states to SEC schools.

Interesting, so 80% of the recruits come from 6 states, with a whopping half from 3.
I would be camped out here too if I were they.

Throw in the fact you have FSU, Miami, and Clemson right in the thick of it, and they are signing ballers too.... the above stats don't count the local kids that sign with the ACC schools.
Makes you wonder what Georgia Tech's problem is.
Anyone who thinks UGA has a problem recruiting Georgia.... go check out Georgia Tech's recruiting classes over the last 5 years.
Georgia Tech should understandably play second fiddle to UGA, but losing these guys to Clemson... that's got to stop.
Can you imagine Deshaun Watson at Georgia Tech with Demari Kitt? Both metro ATL guys that signed with Clemson this year... and they let Stanley Williams, a 4 star running back from Barrow Co, go to Kentucky!!! UGA was set with Chubb and Michel, with a late addition of McKenzie, so Stanley Williams should have been a Georgia Tech lock.
I swear to god I could manage that team better than Paul Johnson.

Is NYCauburn an admin that has posting privileges on all boards, or is he someone the pocket posse vouched for?
I need an answer.
Jefferson, if you find yourself reading this, what can you tell me regarding your report?

I don't think a lot of these kids in HS are big College football fans. When I played HS ball I dont remember one guy saying anything about watching ball on Saturdays. That may depend on area of country and state though.

The whole idea of dominating specifically in-state recruiting is somewhat antiquated, IMO. As we move forward, kids are going to be less and less concerned with location.
At this point, UGA is much more of a regional recruiter than a local one. I would say our "region" includes GA, FL, SC, and NC. AU is the same way, but substitute AL, MS, and LA for the Carolinas. As long as UGA holds serve in our region, we'll be fine. Naturally, we'll get more from Ga than anywhere else, but it's not the end all be all to "lock down" the state. There are no borders anymore in recruiting. Even LSU is losing kids left and right, and that's a much less transient state than GA.

Nice breakdown. You can't get them all especially with the amount of talent that is in state and the amount of big time schools that neighbor us. I think Georgia does well in state for the most part.

I would be concerned a little if UGA was only interested in prospects from the state, honestly we live in a productive and rich one for recruiting and probably would be okay, but it seems silly to draw lines up for little to know reason.

I would like to see this clown bounced off here as well as he spews his true feelings about UGA on the hate thread aimed at us on their board and comes over here and plays patty cake with his e-buddies.
