How’s it feel, last win against UGA at Home, was last century? And Jasper didn’t fumble.

We beat y'all AND the refs. It sucks to suck, but it's the one thing Tech excels in.

Lol. I’ve never seen a bigger gang of miserable people in my life. You win a game but just insist on finding reasons to continue to be miserable.

I guess some people just aren’t happy unless they can invent a reason to be miserable.

Dude, I’m a plank owner on this board. I was here before you even knew the internet existed.

Buncha pansies.

Rules, imagine if the Tech board could be arguing why Tech only won this last game by 8 instead of kicking the shite out of UGA like the previous 5 games. Uncharted territory for you, so I’m sure you wouldn’t understand.

Better to be a pansy seeing the sunshine than buried 6 feet below.

You seem to forget you are on a football board.

. On long routes, Our defensive backs need to look back for the ball in the air when the receiver looks up for the ball. We would have many more interceptions if they did so.

That’s never how Kirby has taught it to my knowledge.

Stale "yo mama" jokes were...you know what? You'll not understand.

You probably don't even know who "5 Win Face" is, or the beginnings of the "Disney Dawg" and "St. Mark The Pious" memes.

Just know that there is a reason why Rules is on this forum. We all used to have thicker skin.

GTRules and Kneehigh's Dad, Stateline, posting side by side.

Thicker skin.

As an aside, anyone else remember when GATA trolled ColoradoJacket off the rant? Lulz.

I was proud to have known Stateline. Even met him for golf a time or two. He was my friend, and kneehigh seems to be a chip off the old block. By the way, I was texting with CHD this weekend. The ultimate dwagrant legend.

And I understand why: because as soon as you take your eyes off the receiver, you risk losing coverage and of course the receiver is looking for the ball after he makes his final move and knows the play/where the ball is supposed to be unless he's improvising.
Still, if the defender can turn and pick up the ball, he becomes a legit receiver and is much less likely to get a pass interference call.
Also, if the pass is short the defender has a decent chance of an interception unless it is a come-back route.

That you don't understand commitment to excellence and the expectation of such tells the real story here.

Never is a strong word.

I don't think that is accurate or fair.

When in trail, the primary goal is to catch up to the receiver.
Step 1 is to guard/defend the receiver's hands. Stokes was brilliant at recovery and getting an arm in there to disrupt. Lassiter does an excellent job ripping his hands in there as well.
Step 2 is to secure the tackle.

If the defender is able to make up the difference from a trail technique, he can turn to make a play on the ball.

If the defender stacks the receiver (never in trail), he is tasked with looking for the ball and running the route (Ringo did this a lot).

It’s hilarious that you think the #4 engineering school in the country, and one of the best in the world, doesn’t understand commitment to excellence.

The oldest Tech trope in existence - deflecting to academics. Nobody's talking in the outside world, rocket surgeon.

You wouldn't know elite gridiron performance if it bit you on the arse.

Spoiler Alert - It just did.

Failure to do so by some of our younger secondary players has been maddening at times.
