Defense played terrible, but refs stole 14 points from us.

I don’t think it was incompetence either. The ball clearly was not bobbled on the one play, and there was no ineligible receiver downfield on the other play.
There needs to be some kind of investigation into officials that try to keep games close with bogus calls.

The bobbled catch was the right call.
The holding and illegible call were horseshite. And they missed several holds on Tech.

That play where Ingram Dawkins shoved the QB to the ground was borderline stupid too…. Not to mention Kirby damn near slitting the refs throat for calling PI when the GOD DAMN BALL WAS TIPPED. This game really pissed me off.

I am not an apologist by the defense by any stretch, but tonight was a weird combo of things. King made plays, our run defense was surprisingly soft, etc. I wouldn't read too much into it. I am much more encouraged that our pass blocking and Beck and Bell continue to be elite. AND we have two good backs and all the others. I LOVE this offense.

It wasn’t bobbled. The ball stayed in between his hands the entire time.

The penalty on Ingram-Dawkins, was that Georgia's first dead ball personal foul of the season?
Back in the day we'd have at least 5 by the middle of September. These are the glory days.

I thought that it could've gone either way. The sideline angle looked like the Tech guy definitely got his hand in there and caused the ball to move enough to call it incomplete. The field angle definitely looked like Bell never lost control. The ref apparently enjoyed watching the sideline angle more.

Agree. That quick whittle / personal foul for tackling the QB was horse crap as well. Can’t remember if it resulted in points or not.

Bro there were some very ticky tack calls on our defense, no question about it. Football is much softer, but we have to play smarter.

Don't forget the phantom facemask call when their rb got his helmet touched

Tech also threw a couple punches that only received a talking to by the refs.

The quick as shite OL hold when Carson released ball in 2 seconds, the ineligible down field was possibly correct but with the ball in the air that quick… unlikely, the roughing the QB was horseshite.
Those cost us points and kept a drive alive for them.
Their QB played well and the misdirection had us on our heels. He got rid of the ball fast.
Most importantly, we lost 2 turnovers and they lost zero.
You don’t often win losing the turnover battle and penalties. We did. Especially playing without 3 offensive starters.

Watched Kirby’s post game presser and something was said to the fact that this ACC crew had the most penalties all season!

Totally disagree. You are taught since 1st grade to catch and tuck. You can have total control of the ball and move it all over the place.
Plus- they had to overturn both on field refs meaning vid showed clear evidence….which it clearly did not

What a bunch of whiny little toddlers. You won the game. Stop being bitches.

It was a weird play.
By definition, you can have possession of the football with 1 hand.
Bell had possession with one hand at all times. The ball moved from one hand to the other. But there was possession by one hand at all times.
I don't mind the overturn. Move on to the next play.
But with all of the 1 hand catches in football, it is a weird play where he had control of the ball at all times. Just not with both hands.
