If you though our run defense was bad this season, tell me "WHO" do we have that will make a difference in '13? OUt Offense better be prepared to score 70 points a game....

Our offense will be insane, defense will not

Only hope we have is that the defense buys into the idea that "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." If they can learn to play disciplined, we have a chance to make another run because of our offensive firepower.

If Murray leaves, we're up shite creek

I don't know that we're going to be able to set a new high water mark on the discipline until Richt retires and we get a new HC. Not hatin' on CMR, but facts are facts.

It's really ironic that one of the most moral, upstanding coaches in the FBS has a serial discipline problem with his team, on and off the field. You'd think he would run a watertight program, and yet...

richt has always given me that vibe that my grandpa gives me. great, awesome guy who whenever you disappoint him you feel awful. but he'll never come down hard on ya or even scare ya. he's a great role model and can really help. but in the end do we need a guy who's like that or one who strikes fear in the hearts of his players?

UGA isn't a bible camp, these kids aren't coming to learn about life. UGA football is a business and the kids are employees and i'd rather have a saban running the program just like that

My thoughts are the CMR makes the players take responsiblity for their actions off the filed. He doesn't cover for them. It's a character trait that the players will benefit from their whole lives. CMR truly cares for his players unlike most coaches who see them as a number.

Discipline is based on some level of fear and respect IMO. I don't see this type of dynamic happening with CMR. He strikes me as the equivalent of a parent who doesn't want to be too strict on his kids because he's afraid they won't like him.

We all know there's only one way to handle unruly children...

Georgia Football is not a day care program.

He certainly can be, no doubt. But he doesn't strike me as having that championship quality about him. Although to be fair, Stafford and Murray do seem to have that air about them, while Greenie did not. So who knows. Although, Greene benefitted from having some nasty defenses, while sadly poor Hutson doesn't look like he'll have that same luxury (if Murray goes pro, which I don't think he will). How good our defense will be in 2014 is anybody's guess.

I don't see how Murray's perfectionism allows him to walk away from the records. He has a compulsive need to correct his mistakes from year-to-year, and I think he'll do even better next year.

What's his school status, isn't he in the middle of a phD program or some shite?

Entering this year, I said 100% no way no how no chance in hell he leaves early. However, I started to change my mind if we went to the title and he was finished with his masters, not to mention our defense will be decimated.

But, I thought I heard someone say he started on a doctorate degree, in which case I can easily see him coming back. And yeah, he can obliterate the record books too.

I knew as soon as we lost that this board would go straight back to classic DawgRant Richt sucks crap. The people that were on his shaft for weeks are going to want him to be fired again. Fwiw I'm not lumping you in there because you've been a hater the entire time. Personally I've thought for a while that we could do better but after this season I don't know if I feel that way anymore. There's no one out there that I would want more than Richt right now, and that is a recent revelation.
