Fields saw the writing on the wall that he wasn't going to get a chance to start as a sophomore, either. And he wouldn't have...barring an injury to Fromm. Smart had locked in.

So Daniels played the first quarter against Vandy, went 9 of 10 for for 2 TDs and 0 INTs, and then sat so Bennett could come in. Bennett goes 11/15 for 1 TD and 1 INT. Okay...getting playing time for both QBs.

When asked about why Daniels came out after only 1 quarter despite doing so well, Smart said that Bennett had "earned" playing time.

If Daniels was in fact fully healthy and looking as good in practice as Smart had said over the last few weeks, isn't it odd that Daniels played so little against Missouri and none against UT?

Seems like the door doesn't swing both ways for some reason. Or else...maybe you can't take seriously half of what he says?

Lol
We had no receivers. That was the perfect year for a qb who could move the pocket and expand the run game on his own.
If his goal was to beat out fromm, 2019 set up perfectly.

Why do you suppose? Could it be that someone might be a "better" QB at the college level simply because they are surrounded by talent greatly superior than the other college teams they face...

But when a "generational talent" can't take the job away from a "supposedly lesser" QB in college when surrounded by the same talent, that should make you think college and NFL are different.

Actually makes me think that Fields wasn't going to be given a chance to take the job away, no matter what. Apparently that was Fields' thought as well. Kudos to him, he wasn't going to sit around and put up with Smart's b.s.

Kirby talks out of so many sides of his mouth that he can't keep track. He ought to just get mad and refuse to comment when asked tough questions, like he used to do.

He'll be a genius until he loses one that he's supposed to win.

You are clueless. Does his handling with the media bother you?

Stop giving Georgia your money. That'll show em.

Imagine not having to feel the pain of our next loss, because he knew better all along?
