Anybody see we’re up for Lester Quiouones(sp).

Can he be a PG? Is it possible we try to take 5this class?

Edwards is probably going to be the primary ball handler.

I wish Crean would have said I want Crump, Claxton, and Hammonds...

It's like our entire starting five has the collective basketball IQ of a grape.

I'm not the coach, so I can say it. We are making aTm look like a good basketball team.

The game plan just isn’t something our players can carry out.

Crump sometimes looks like garbage too. Same with Hammonds. Maybe they just need people around them to handle the ball more often.

I know this is Crean's first season but this has been hard to watch recently.

Hard to watch? Yes and no. The game plan (for me) is a lot easier to watch than what we had under Fox. Fox had a half court offense where one player would dribble around the perimeter until 10 seconds left on the shot clock. Meanwhile the other four players would just stand there. With 10 seconds left, one or two other players would start to move (if they were paying attention) and eventually the PG would force a pass, force a shot, penetrate and get fouled (or cause a foul) or the time would run out. Our biggest hope was points from the free throw line or off an offensive rebound. And there was always one player on the court (like H. Kessler or M. Edwards) that did not need defending, so we were always playing four on five on offense.

This season, Crean has brought a much more exciting style of basketball where everyone moves, runs the entire court, and is engaged in the offense. Unfortunately, that style desperately needs an extremely bright and talented point guard, and some deadly outside shooters, to work. We literally have no point guard, no one who can intelligently distribute the ball and our outside shooting is horrendous. I think good guard play would open up the outside shot, but that won’t happen this year. So until we get some star power at the guard positions, we are a painful team to watch. Fortunately, Crean is recruiting extremely well, so there is some hope for the future.

I agree with every bit of that.

My 12 year old daughter and I will be there. We went and saw the Lady Dawgs softball already this year.

We will be sitting a few rows behind the Scorers table.

Geaux Dawgs and Geaux Tigers.

I was a little bummed about missing out on the Yante bobble head but after seeing a picture of that thing... yikes.

Surprisingly, UGA hasn’t been a turnover machine tonight through the first half. It’s amazing the score differential when you don’t give teams 20 plus points a game for bone headed turnovers...

I love that we had 7 turnovers in the first half and were really excited about it

Crump just went TO, into losing a guy defensively for a wide open 3.

That’s where he can be such a frustrating player for coaches.

If Crean can recruit at a high level, this team will be fun to watch.
