There's a dozen 4/5 star db's on the roster and Dan is the starter. I love CSmith but don't throw Dirty Dan in the cellar.

I like Dan and I think it’s great what he has accomplished, but let’s be real. We need more depth and skill in that position to finish this journey.

Injuries are a bitch... But also, Smart may need to do a better job thinking ahead before he gives folks like Burns and Stevenson full encouragement to transfer elsewhere. Sometimes the aggressive roster management can come back to bite you.

Burns wasn't encouraged to transfer. He has family in Louisiana and it sounds like there was pressure to come back home as the opportunity to play was in theory "more guaranteed".
Stevenson had turned into a locker room cancer by most accounts, and has bad mouthed UGA to recruits (before leaving it seems).
Criticize Kirby if you want, but at least do so with accurate information.
