Cold hard truth

Here is how I see things after last night. If anyone disagrees i honestly dont give a frick.
1) Kirby is a good coach and recruiter but his loyalty to players and coaches is going to be his undoing. Losing Fields because he didn't give him a chance, promoting Coley instead of going after a proven OC. I get that loyalty is a good thing, and I applaud that. But Coley is literally Willie Martiniez 2.0 The guy didn't earn nor deserve that job.
2) The passing game issues is 3 fold imo.
- Fromm has taken a developmental step back. I honestly think we don't have a good QB coach. Back foot throws...bad reads....taking sacks...inaccuracy.
- Scheme is bad. Like really bad.
- Losing all those WR to the NFL hurt and Simmons/Landers are just shite WR who need to be shown the door. The lack of depth and development here is probably most concerning thing to me.
3) This off season will define Kirby and his ability to become a Saban or a Richt. He is literally on the edge of the knife. He needs to get a proven OC and change the offensive Philosophy. Every time we run a Option hand off where Fromm fakes the keeper I laugh my arse off. Fromm aint keeping the ball and everyone knows it. It is maddening to watch them hand off into a 9 man front. LSU defense was not good and we made them look like world beaters. Where are the godamn tight ends?
TLDR: This off season from recruiting, restructuring, changes in philosophy and down right self preservation, It will define Kirby Smart and his tenure at UGA.

People forget that Coley wasn’t even Kirby’s first choice. Eddie Gran turned UGA down.

For those down voters I implore you to disagree with any of the stayed facts

100% truth.
The fact that Landers plays so much is another example of #1.

Sandwich post nails it should be pinned. Going to be the longest off season in quite a while.
Unfortunately these coaches operate in echo chambers, double down on what they believe in and frequently can’t see or admit what is obvious to everybody else.
As a corollary I’m not going to renew my season tickets. Not because of this but mainly because I’m tired of paying all that money for 1-2 decent home games a year, sitting through tv time outs, replays etc. I’ve been going to sanford since 1975 and I’m tired of it.

Agree with everything you said but I would add that we still need better recruiting especially in positions of need like WR and TE. No doubt Kirby has taken us to another level in recruiting above CMR but we still don't match up well in way too many positions as evidenced by yesterday's arse whooping.

With 85 schollies we are limited. Richt liked skill players and Kirby likes the trenches.
What pisses me off is we don't run an offense that takes advantage of our OLine. Slow developing run plays are dumb, with our OLine, i formation is king as the back is headed forward when he takes the hand off, not standing flat footed.
