It's weird how I post a video almost an hour long of actual film breakdown, nobody watches, but still has opinions about it.
Malignancy.
Malignancy.

I didn't say that he did.
It's based on watching Brook's film analysis.
Austin is excellent at analyzing the plays as they are called and he aptly points out that the OL is getting beat and that Rutledge is playing hurt which had already been noted by contributors in this forum.
What is missing is the why are you calling plays for the RB to run up the middle when your OL is getting whipped on almost every down?
At the beginning of the show he commented that Kirby said we've got to run around them but we didn't run around them.
When your OL is getting beat, you need to shift the point of attack to the outside and have TEs or someone blocking at an outside point of attack.
If you watched GT upset Miami, Tech's outside blocking was exactly why they were able to run around Miami's stout front 7.
And no matter how you spin it, a coaching staff has to play the cards they have been dealt. And an excellent coaching staff knows when their OL is getting whipped and adjusts play calling to work around a weakness.
But we just run the same old plays and then blame the players because they didn't execute.
Well, here's a revelation: either recruit better OL or change your offense to move the point of attack and run or pass to the outside away from your weak offensive line.

But I was told we were calling bubble screens and tunnel screens because we didn't trust Beck to throw downfield. Which is it?
We're halfway there. Take my hand, we'll make it I swear.

The issue isn't Searels recruits. Matt Luke is who signed the group that should be playing now. The talent CSS has brought in seems more to our standard on paper at least.

I think he strongly implied that about the entire offensive coaching staff in his shorter Sunday video - basically the trailer video he does leading into the week.

That's good to hear and after reviewing the linked Breakdown again, Brooks did question one of the blocking schemes and Beck not making a throw to I think Arian Smith on a deep slant so I stand corrected.

Funny you say that, people said the same thing in 2008 when Searels Coached. I remember a lot of OL injuries followed by a shift away from the hulking dudes to smaller, more athletic OL

All we need is Carlton "Frostproof" Thomas to transport us back to the 2000's...

I think the deep play to Arian was there, but the safety was in the zip code. Frankly, that’s a TD if Beck didn’t have the turnovers in his head, but it had to be a perfect throw. The fans wanted more deep balls, but every time we tried a long developing play, Beck was sacked before it came open. Bobo adapted to faster developing plays and misdirection and it worked until we had stupid penalties and drops. We did something damn near every drive to take our own momentum away.

Every time Saban "evolved" it was due to one reason: a total commitment to win. It's that simple. He did whatever it took to win and if that meant firing coaches, changing systems, accepting change he didn't waffle. If Kirby is going to make this a dynasty instead of a Clemson 2.0 he's gonna have to do the same thing.

Saban never fired someone because their dumb fans didn’t like him.

I have gotten off the "it's the players' fault for not executing" wagon here lately but you are spot on for the Ole Miss game.
3 count em 3 first downs dropped. That's hard on the defense and hard on the coaches who now have 4 fewer downs to make adjustments.
