Too bad you never saw Herschel Walker play.

Different eras against vastly different defenses. I’d say it’s tougher now.

He’s incredible. AJ Green was completely unguardable at times. Gurley too.

Herschel is obviously our best all time offensive player.
But yea, AJ Green was our best all time receiver in terms of his ability to get open and make great catches.
Bowers is a great TE but he can be covered because obviously he doesn't have the speed and quickness of a receiver like AJ Green.
McConkey has been our best receiver for getting open for first down yardage and beyond and a healthy Bowers and McConkey would have made a difference in that SECCG vs Bama.

Bowers and Herschel are the 2 greatest offensive players in Georgia history. Interesting how their careers had so much in common. Junior year was the only year when Herschel had an injury, and he didn't break nearly as many long runs. Herschel was just in another universe. Not fair comparing anyone to Herschel. He was out entire offense for 3 years. Can you imagine if every play was to get the ball to Bowers?

Bowers had been the most effective and fun player to watch in a long time. It’s been a real treat to live through his tenure and the last 3 years in general as a UGA fan. Just think of some of the greats we’ve had come through Athens just in the last few years.

Stet
Bowers
Jordan
Jaylen
Nolan
McConkey
Ringo
Starks

I could go on and on…

True, but all have been fun to watch.
