No QB and they drafted a TE in the first round last year. I'm hoping he has an awesome career, and talent usually wins out, but I was hoping he'd land at some other preferred destinations like Indianapolis.

2nd, per what I read this morning.
If the Falcons were allegedly going by the "best available player" on the board and ignoring their strategy, then Bowers should've gone to Atlanta instead of Penix. This is doubly true when you consider that they just signed Cousins to a massive 4 year deal.

I don’t understand the falcons. Imagine the success they’d have and the fans they’d gain locally if they had done what the eagles did. I’ve never been a “real” falcons fan even though I’ve been living in the Atlanta area my entire life. If they’d take some dawgs I’d be invested in it.

Yeah, early 2nd. 35th overall or something like that. My memory failed me a little there.
Still, Bowers is going to have to compete for targets with 2 good WRs (one hall of famer) and another TE in a system that will be run heavy and doesnt have a good QB.

He wasn’t pissed. His dad was trying to not show any emotion and they were caught by surprise when the Raiders picked him. The Raiders never contacted Brock prior to the pick because they never thought he would be on the board at 13. Brock literally had no conversations with them. One of our current players who I have known a while has been his roommate for the last 3 years and was there with him at his home that night. They were actually happy because Brock grew up a Raiders fan but were caught off guard.
