That means Kirby wasn't willing to offer him full autonomy. Jesus Christ.

Just guessing. If Georgia made Bobo the same offer South Carolina did, he would choose Athens in a heartbeat considering South Carolina will probably fire the whole staff if they win less than 7 games again next season.

Word. I'm sure the SECCG prep and everything is making it hard for us to get into in depth convos with Bobo and his agent. Wish he would chill the frick out and wait until after Saturday.

I mean why join a sinking ship muschamp team? Doesn't make much sense career wise. Unless hes a sleeper cell that will ensure Muschamp is fired and then come home in 2021. Idk I'm annoyed though

SECCG prep or not the writing has been on the wall for Bobo for a while. With that in mind if Kirby was planning to bring Bobo back in some capacity and Bobo wanted to come back I am sure he'd wait or we'd hear more.

I mean I am not going to pretend to know what Bobo wants but if Bobo was being offered the same role at UGA vs Boom's staff in Columbia I'd think he'd come back to Athens. I just don't think Georgia has made the effort.

I mean we aren't sure if Georgia even offered him a spot or a comparable spot

If we get stomped today because the offense sucks and don't get rid of Coley as playcaller I will lose my mind.

That is my only silver lining to possibly losing the game.

You're hoping the outcome of today is that we lose and fire our OC promptly?

Sound like a miserable existence.

I hope we win our next three games and give Cooley a raise and extension.

He wants to be a on the field coach and OC. UGA can’t offer that at this moment.

No I want to win, but if we lose I hope means we get a new OC. What kind of fan would want to lose today for any reason?

The fact that Bobo took a reduced buy out and resigned shows that he and his agent were very likely working back channels, which is 100% normal. Bobo obviously wanted to be free to jump on a staff in the next few weeks by doing so.

Then it comes down to a business decision. It would seem that FSU, Ole Miss, and even Arkansas would be better choices, as he would be coming in with a new staff and would get 3 years to get things going.

I don’t think Boom has more than a year unless they improve significantly. I imagine Bobo could still get a 3 year with a buyout there, but there would be more risk than a lot of other jobs.

UGA would seem least likely, unless Smart thinks Coley is going to one of these other teams.

I agree with you sir. Losing Bobo would hurt but after hearing he is going to USCe I want to vomit. My stomach is rot gut.

I have it from a great source and yes I have a name who is working the back channels but can’t go there.

What I don’t know is did the back channels encourage the early exit/settlement with CSU? Was this Bobo compromising so both CSU and Bobo could move on?

The other question is what does UGA offer and who leaves as a result? I think Hankton would be axed, Coley coaches WR/Co-OC, and Bobo coaches QB/Co-OC. While USCjr could offer sole OC role, will Boom still be coach in 3 years?

He likely won't be coach beyond next year if they don't improve significantly.

I heard the same from an alumni-letterman who’s pretty affluent. Is he trying to act like he’s in the know or is he really in the know? We’ll see; I hope he’s right.

The question to ask is: Does Bobo want to be HC somewhere again? If so, he needs to take an OC job somewhere with a decent QB and offense he where he can get some positive attention.
If he would rather be an OC for the next five years, UGA is the right place for him, but only if Kirby will give him the offense to run his way. This is why I doubt Bobo will be here.
