If Bobo comes back and Riley leaves for the Cowboys, you bet your arse Vandagriff will flip to UGA overnight

I believe Coley would stay here with a demotion. Remember, he's the guy who turned down Jimbo's money whip to be Tamu OC, because his wife and kids love Athens and didn't want to leave, and that was before Chaney left.

Make $500k a year and raise your family in Athens .... not a bad deal.

Again problem is do you demote him to an analyst? Can’t slide him to TEs again because now you have Hartley and Fountain is the 10th coach. I guess you could demote fountain?

Like someone already said, people are going to rape our assistants after the season anyway, a spot will open, you won't have to fire anyone.

Fire Hankton and slide Coley to WRS? He’s coached TEs can he coach WRs.

UGA has to land Brock. Can't be a top flight program and allow a GA kid this good to leave when he could conceivably start day one - especially without a viable substitute from out of state.

I hate to see anyone get fired,but at the end of the day we need to do whatever it takes to get the best possible man for the job

Kirby ALMOST left Alabama for a lateral move. He gave lip service about how much he respected Richt; but the main reason he even considered it was for a chance to work with his old buddy

I think whatever deal we are going to see is already done, as someone else has already speculated

Is there nobody other than Bobo who we'd want? Not sure looking only inside the family is the best idea.

If he's going to commit long term to the UGA OC position that's another thing entirely.

I heard a rumor when Kirby interviewed for the Auburn job in 2013 that he would bring in Bobo as his OC. I found it hard to believe Bobo would leave UGA and go to Auburn in a lateral move. IF this is/was true it tells me these two, Kirby and Mike are close.

I think the fans know Kirby is sort of a control freak. He probably trusts Mike over bringing someone in from outside the program. This could be the easiest transition we could make on offense which could make the biggest impact IMO.

I like Bobo for how he coaches QBs. I think we'd see a different Fromm this year if Bobo was our OC. JMVHO.

Bring home Bobo for sure. Oh man with an OL and a defense where he isn’t in shootouts all the time it’d be fun to watch him coach up an offense

i hate getting my hopes up,because it probably wont happen, but dammit it would be so perect.

Kirby and Bobo tearing shite up on the recruiting trail would be awesome. Mike was out recruiting kirby, saban, etc with less resources. imagine those two with the new AD support.

frick, please make it happen Kirby

Hutson Mason tweeted this

quote:

Someone is going to get a heck of a play caller and recruiter from Coach Bobo. Unfortunately, it didn’t workout at CSU but wasn’t because CSU couldn’t score. Coach Muschamp better scoop him up in a hurry. Great fit at SC with ties to SEC & staff familiarity.

When the play calling was bad I wanted a change, but now it's been improving.
Improving how?

My 16 year old daughter is calling out our plays and where they are going before they happen, for Christ sake.

Cook and Wolf have been criminally under-used, Simmons and Landers have been criminally over-used, and Zamir White has somehow become a one-play up the middle telegraphed run machine.

We started off a game with 3 straight failed passes last week, against the 103rd ranked rushing defense in the country.

Our last 4 games we've averaged 4.1 yards per rush attempt, while the season average is 5.2. Which is down from our 5.8 last year. A full season at 4.1 YPR would rank us 72nd in the country.

Our yards per pass attempt for the season is 7.4 (63rd). The last 4 games it's only 6.7 (a season of this would put us 95th). Last year we were 8.9 (10th in the country).

Jake took 4 sacks in the first 8 games for -20 yards, and 5 sacks in the last 4 games for -44 yards.

Jake averaged 73.7% completion rate in the first 8 games and 46.7% in the last 4 games.

Six games ago, we threw for a whopping 35 yards on 12 passing attempts the game after we lost to South Carolina on 51 passing attempts.

I'm sorry, but Coley absolutely sucks huge freaking donkey balls at this sport and his job. And nothing has gotten better. It has gone from bad to bad... predictable to predictable... irritatingly conservative to obnoxiously conservative.

Coley has no business being an OC at an SEC school, much less UGA.

sure, but Kirby trusts Bobo, and Mike MIGHT be the only guy we can get that Kirby will actually feel comfortable relinquishing control to

that, coupled with the fact that Mike is one of the best in the business = a winning recipe

I'm convinced that Mike would be coming home to stay

he would never have left in the 1st place had he gotten a fair raise

Bobo will be back and I don’t even think McGarity can screw this up.

For all the Bobo detractors, he never had a defense like UGA does now (at least not in his better OC years).

Some people question Bobo and I get it.

However, Bobo put up points but many times had to out score our opponents.

Team defense rankings
2019 = #2
2018 = #15
2017 = #6

Avg = #8

Bobo’s best/last 3 years and defensive rankings:

2012 = #18
2013 = #89
2014 = #16

Avg = #41

Can you imagine SEC team with Top 3 offense and defense?

Wait, that was 2018 Bama and hopefully soon to be UGA!

Go Dawgs!

Kirby and Bobo’s dads know each other, so Kirby/Bobo go way back. They are best friends.

Everything I have heard is the reason for settlement and Bobo not sticking around CSU til Jan 1 is due to UGA, recruiting, etc.

Not sure how coaching changes happen. I think a lot of that depends on Coley. We will keep him in lieu of Hankton. If Coley leaves, Bobo may bring in his own choice at WR coach.
