Yep, we can beat anybody but didn't beat anybody.
1 and done in the SEC tournament.
1 and done in the NCAA tournament.
Definition of a team that either wasn't ready for the playoffs and/or not fit for the playoffs.
The question in my mind is: Could a better coach have done more with our talent or did White do more with less in getting this team into the NCAA tournament?
The blowout vs the 8th seeded Gonzaga seems to suggest a lot of both aka they have much better coaching and much better players.

I think this thread can be deleted now. No more need for a sticky at the top at least. Season is over. Making the tourney was an accomplishment. Getting bent over like that was embarrassing for them I'm sure. Congrats to taking a step forward for the team and players. Gonzaga is very much a contender every year to win it all, for what the last 9 years? Sucks to get beat like that, future is brighter than it's ever been since Harrick though. Good talent coming in, and good talent staying. Also some shite refs tonight didn't help, but that wasn't the game. Those guys went off right off the hilt and shell shocked us. Anyhow, I count it as a good season to make the Tourney. Nothing to be angry about. Hopefully Mike White can build on it.

They flashed at times. Beat UF a one seed... UK a 3 seed.... and St. Johns a 2 seed. So theoretically we can beat anyone on any given night. We also blew games we should have won vs. MSU and Arkansas.

This shite is gonna get old real fast. Earlier I was sour on White and today's performance didn't help, but overall, I do think the program is in a much better spot. We are a young team with inexperience players. They won 20 games and made the NCAAT for the 1st time in a decade. I hope they feel like shite because they absolutely got skullfricked tonight but it could have been for he best. Maybe it encourages players to come back and try one more time. Time will tell. Go Dawgs!

Shitty start and crazy 3 point shooting was the difference.
Gonzaga shot 1-15 from three point range in their conference championship game, and they made 12 out of their first fricking 16 against us.
They were +24 on three point shots. Part of that has to do with we suck at shooting 3 pointers and Mike White needs to join the 20th century in that regard, but part of it was just bad timing and bad luck.

We got the absolute worst draw ever as a 9. Still, we played poorly. We are better than 2 years ago, but a crappy end.

Looks like much of that was our inability to defend the Zag's 3 point shooting.
St. Mary's went 28-5 and beat Gonzaga twice during the regular season only to lose to them in a close conference championship.

Could see Zags making a run like Michigan St did in 2015. We played Mich St in the #7/#10 game and they end up in the final four.
Zags are peaking and could see them rolling Houston if they shoot like they did yesterday.

I hear Asa Newell is one and done going to the NBA draft. He's great but he's very raw. He needs to develop his post game, shooting, and defense; but I guess some NBA team will take him as he is. I would think he could make some good NIL money but I can get where guys want to jump. This has been going on for years. I had heard Demary may also jump to the draft. As with most other programs White will have to rebuild next year, but we should have a lot of guys back like Blue Cain and Cyril.
